St. Paul says: In [Christ] you were circumcised with a circumcision not administered by hand, by stripping off the carnal body, with the circumcision of Christ. You were buried with him in baptism
(Col 2:11-12). Calling baptism the circumcision of Christ links it to a practice performed on the eighth day after birth. The analogy seems far less meaningful or sensible if only adults were baptized. Arch-Pope Faux Interpretation. Take a fact, circumcision, and then attempt to link everything concerning circumcision to your preconceived idea of what should happen. They always seem to forget that only baby BOYS were circumcised!

Abd quite frankly, what’s all this business about clipping yer dick? How is this pleasing to the Lord?
Baby James is born... let’s clip his dick to honor the Lord

I don’t see a conflict with kids getting baptized. “Make disciples” is clearly instigated by the action of baptism (in Salvation’s qoute.). The clear command is to go out, baptize, thereby making disciples. Even you literalists could see the simplicity and direction?

That the Baptism of infants is pleasing to Christ is sufficiently proved from His own work I commend you for posting the Protestant belief regarding infant baptism. I believe you are the only one who has.

The circumcision was a sign that identified his chosen people in the early centuries.
As his Kehilla expanded outside of Judah, circumcision began to fade in importance.

The simple fact that probably 90% of those ‘baptised’ infants will never know Yehova or his son should tell you that your assumption is off base at the least.

Protestant doctrine? Yes Protestant doctrine as taught by Lutherans, Methodists, Presbyterians, etc. Are you Protestant? Christian? Do you believe Jesus Christ is God the Son, part of the Trinity?

John 8:31 "To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples."
To be a disciple requires faith.

The simple fact that probably 90% of those baptised infants will never know Yehova or his son should tell you that your assumption is off base at the least. And how do you, mortal man, know whether they "know" or "don't know"?

When little babies and small children can consciously acknowledge their sinfulness and accept and believe in Jesus Christ as their Savior, then I'll agree baptism is appropriate for them So your "salvation" depends on what YOU do for God in "accepting" and "believing" rather than what God did--and does--for us?
No thank you.
