We buried my beloved Father today.
John Henry Walsh went home to our Dear Lord early Saturday morning after a long illness.
I was with him at the time.
It was the hardest thing I have ever done but something that I would never trade for anything.
Many here offered prayers for healing for Dad.
Now I ask for prayers for his repose and for comfort for his family.
Prayers for the Repose of his soul, and for consolation and healing for you and your family.
R.I.P. Mr. Walsh.
(That was my mother-in-law’s maiden name.)
.
God bless. I watched my Father take his last breath too. I share your emotions.
May God welcome him home, and may He grant you peace and comfort. You were so fortunate to have had him with you so long.
You will meet again
Ping
I will pray for the peaceful repose of his soul!
My sincere condolences on your loss. I know it was tough to witness but he is with God now. Celebrate the life you shared.
Prayers for you and your family. It is tough to lose a parent.
Praying for repose of your dad’s soul, and comfort to you and you family.
Prayers up!....Gods reality is ours too!
Prayers for you all, peace and God’s love and comfort to carry you through.
My mom passed a few months ago and I agree with you it was very hard to be there through the illness and last day, but I would never trade that time and connection and sharing with her for anything.
God be with you all now and always.
I went through this with my father about a year ago.
A blessed repose to your father, and may his memory be eternal. May God be with you, granting you comfort and peace, in your time of loss.
You have my sincere sympathy and prayers for your Father. God bless him.
I’m very sorry for your loss.
By the time my friend got to her mother’s deathbed, her mother was no longer able to speak. She had been hanging on so she could give her daughter one last message. My friend said, “I know what you wanted to say, Mom. To take good care of myself” (daughter has a chronic illness). Mother could not answer, but then passed into heaven.
It’s a mixed blessing, but a blessing for sure, to be there at that time.
Thoughts for you and all your family.
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
