Okay, to keep everyone in the loop and maybe keep me there, too-- Here is what is going on.Update from FReeper Bender2 about his esophageal cancer Click here to respond to Bender2Tomorrow I go into surgery to have a portal installed for them to be able to inject the chemo drugs into me. As to when that will start, I do not know as yet.
Wednesday I go to the Corsicana Cancer Center to get set up for chemo and such I guess. I have been told that my chemo and radiation therapy will be for 6 to 8 weeks and them perhaps followed by more surgery.
Monday I go up to Dallas for a Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scan that is as I understand it an imaging test that allows the doctors to check out where the cancer is and how far it has spread. I also assume they will use a special dye containing radioactive tracers.
Then back in Corsicana the next Wednesday I see my oncologist for the results of the PET scan and whatknot and we go from there.

(Posted on Facebook last time and after a good sleep I wanted to say this to all the FReepers who prayed for me.)
I went to my radiation and chemo treatments scared to death. Good old Greg Allen drove me there and back and I will give him a gold star for his efforts.
I had a lot of pain holding my arms back while in the infernal radiation machine that whirled about me shooting left over parts of the Little Boy bomb at my cancer. Yet the good meds the doc gave me kicked in and the pain did not last very long after I got out the radiation's grip and put my arms down.
Then 30 minutes later I was in the chair for my chemo. My pucker factor was on high alert but the pin that went into my Bard Power Port hardly hurt at all.
Nurse Carrie stared the drip and I laid back with a book to try and read while I expected to shortly be puking up a storm over everything in creation.
Then--
Then--
Then nothing really happened. I sat there for near four hours while the nurses dripped different chemo drugs into my port.
I kept reading and every time they asked how I was, I said, "Okay."
I kept awaiting the "Big N" but the nausea never came. I felt a little bloated but nothing else that my fear has me feeling--
The nurse told me to stay well hydrated as it would really help. Brother am I going to stay hydrated!
After it was over I made it out to get in Greg's truck for a ride home. He asked how I was and I said, "Better than I ever expected to be!"
Now I am at home after taking just as a precaution, one of the anti-nausea pills. I've eaten a banana and washing down some crackers with cold water and all seems well.

Thank you to everyone that is praying for our family.I just spoke with Janet and read some of the prayers that have been posted here, she can feel your prayers warmly comforting her and the entire family.
it was found that Ryan had four drugs in his system at the time of his death: Marijuana, Methadone, Heroin and Fentanyl
Please pray for an end to this terrible scourge that is plaguing our young adults.
I have also learned that a friend (had moved away about five years ago) and brother knight, Lance from my council has passed away.
Please Pray for Lance and his family

First, let me say I am more than pleased in how my chemo and radiation treatments have been going. No nausea at all from the chemo and outside the pain from the arthritis in my shoulders holding my arms over my head for 15 to 20 minutes during radiation, I am not suffering much at all. Oh, I am down in the dumps at times and have fatigue to the max. I am sleeping about 16 hours a day./FReeper Bender2 has an update for us here. Please take a moment to pray for DannyAll in all, the whole experience has been much better than I ever expected and all thanks to you all who gave me their prayers and support. I am so thankful to y'all!
Now, back at the ranch-- Coronavirus Insanity is real! The drive by media and the DemocRATS, never letting a crisis go to waste, are trying with all their might to kick fear into hyper-drive against President Trump and the Republicans and a part of it has hit close to home--
Hell, it has hit home right here in Corsicana, Texas, 56 miles south of Big D.
I went out for my last radiation treatment for the week at noon and then went down to the local HEB Grocery to get some milk. Now, granted, I have not been out and about much other than to get my chemo and radiation treatment, but as I drove up to HEB the parking lot was crammed to the brim.
Finally finding a parking spot, I made it inside and found an empty handicap cart and entered a land of folks filling grocery carts to the brim. Oh, I was able to get milk, yet I found there was not a roll of toilet paper to be found. Just a whole wall of empty racks where it should be stocked. Nor was there any hand sanitizer either. And thinking of my need to use distilled water in my COPD unit I went to get a couple of gallon jugs. Yep, the water section was just as empty as the toiler paper area.
I waited in line for nearly 20 minutes to pay for my milk and a couple of other things and then went down the street to Brookshires' discount brand grocery and found they were also out of water, too.
I realized I had several extra distilled jugs at home, so I figure I'll try again early in the morning when the trucks make their grocery deliveries. Getting home, I took the two distilled jugs I used as drinking water out of the fridge to save for my COPD. I filled up four empty jugs with water from the sink faucet and put them in the fridge for drinking.
I am concerned about the Coronavirus but not to the extent that the drive by media and the DemocRATS are proclaiming to be the Apocalypse because Donald Trump is the President. I believe he will do what is best and not lose his head. Heck, isn't that what the Dems and their media cohorts do all the time? Politicising everything to place all the blame on Trump and the Republicans
