Please pray for Joy, and her family which includes my best friend for over 30 years. Joy has been struggling for the past 18 months from what everyone thought was dementia progressing into Alzheimer’s. Kimberly, my best friend, has been getting paperwork together, getting Joy set up with doctor’s appointments, looking for an assisted living apartment. Highly frustrated that her mom is nice one moment the “psycho” the next. It’s been a trying time.
Two weeks ago, Joy slipped to the ground and refused to get up. Kimberly and her brother thought she was being a brat. Last week, Joy was taken to the ER and has been hospitalized. Severe UTI and cognitive impairment. MRI has revealed a brain tumor. Glioblastoma Stage 4.
Tumor is in the worst place and position. Doctors have said even with aggressive treatment, Joy will not have much time.

My daughter had her cardiologist appointment yesterday to review the results of her heart monitoring. He came up with a few things to investigate because he couldn’t find out the cause of her collapsing. He put her on a medication to regulate her heart rate and for us to set up a couple of appointments with two other specialists. This morning my husband gets a call telling him to stop her meds. Her doctor couldn’t stop thinking about it and reviewed her scans again in case he missed something from the children’s hospital and the most recent ones she had during her monitoring. He noticed something was off and ordered an ultrasound today of her carotid artery and brachial artery. During the ultrasound they stopped and brought someone else in to check it out. From what my husband was able to see, there is something wrong with her carotid artery and might be the cause of her problem. They are going in to see a vascular specialist tomorrow morning for the report and what to do next. I am praying they are able to fix what is wrong so she can live a normal life.
I am so thankful my husband was able to find this doctor after hers retired. He was able to find a problem my husband had that was missed his entire life.
We’re still waiting on my son’s surgery date.
I got my PET scan results yesterday and they are clean. I am finally in remission! I’ve never been so happy to be so wrong in my entire life. My doctor wants me to have my lymph nodes/nodules checked frequently. I am to go in right away if they get bigger or painful.

It’s been a long and hectic week. Lots of trips to the hospital for a CT scan, barium swallow and x-rays. They have finally figured out what is wrong with my daughter and she will be undergoing two surgeries within the next few days. There are arteries wrapped tightly around her esophagus and she will be having a carotid bypass and a stent put in. This has caused her so many problems over the years. I am praying that they are able to successfully fix what is wrong and for her to live a long, normal and happy life.

I just wanted to put an update in here for Daryl(Doc):
Out of the blue someone called me with 10,000 lbs
of antique ham equipment that he wants to sell (Chicago area)
so I thought it was some kind of sign and decided to call
him right away and he answered the phone.
He sounds GREAT and is going to help me find a home for the equipment.
