Psa. 19:7-9 7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. 8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. 9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
Dan. 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
Matt. 5:17,18 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. 18. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law till all be fulfilled.
Beloved Magnificent Father,
We praise you for your majesty and for your tender love and care of our souls. Today we continue our prayers for and on behalf of our President and those surrounding him who are accountable to you and to us for the just execution of the Law we have set up in our governing bodies. We are grateful you have sent us one who is sincerely seeking to do your will in the fulfillment of the promises and structures of our Constitution. Bless and protect him, his family, our Vice President, the Cabinet, the SCOTUS, and Congress - both Houses, and every person in government who stands at a lever of power however great or small. Suffuse this nation with the Vision and the Will to do better each day, and the Grace to accomplish it. Bless the families of all who are your servants in the service of this nation, especially those in harms way.
Lord, we acknowledge that very much in harms way today are our Law Enforcement personnel. Guide, guard, direct, and protect each one who stands on that blue line. Our President presided over a moving ceremony honoring those in Law Enforcement who gave their lives. Please Father, enfold these ones families and loved ones as they grieve the loss of the heroes they gave to all of us.
We ask that you would extend this blessing as well to those who serve in our armed forces and their families. Let it also extend to any and all loyal patriots who may also be harms way.
Lift up your Church and remove the scales from the eyes and the weights upon too many pastors who have been burdened as they seek to serve their flocks. These ones are also striving to stand up for the Law. In these days we see that those who do hold a Standard of the Law have all become targets of assault, whether physical or spiritual. Help all of us who seek also to hold that Standard be able to hold it up as well as our Marines demonstrated in WWII on Io Jima. Help us this day to do our part with love and generosity of spirit and heart.
Thank you Father for the love you give all of us, especially the ones who do seek to serve you in special capacities and assignments. In the name of our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus
Amen

Psalm 125
A Song of Ascents.
1 Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion,
which cannot be moved, but abides for ever.
2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem,
so the Lord surrounds his people,
from this time on and for evermore.
3 For the sceptre of wickedness shall not rest
on the land allotted to the righteous,
so that the righteous may not stretch out
their hands to do wrong.
4 Do good, O Lord, to those who are good,
and to those who are upright in their hearts.
5 But those who turn aside to their own crooked ways
the Lord will lead away with evildoers.
Peace be upon Israel!
His will is the particular part. We might ask Him to further our ideas about religion and that usually doesn’t work well if at all. Ask Him for what His heart delights in and you’ll get a different result, as well as learning some paradoxical lessons yourself.
amen
Amen.
*sigh* you are right.
I ALWAYS try to place the phrase “according to thy will.” It is a major point in my prayer life. Today I forgot.
Brain is fried today. Please consider it added to my above prayer. Apologies to all for the oversight.
Yes indeed. I do ask that all be done according to the will of God.
Well, when we ask for wisdom it will be granted. Often wisdom entails humility. We might have to allow for God to bless an enemy as either derivative blessings to us may come later, or the enemy may become a friend.
Amen. Thank you Texokie.
Glory to God - you are welcome.
Amen TEXOKIE. I think most of us here understand and agree that above everything we want God’s will to be done. (Even if you forget to say it outright).
But Jesus says we have not because we ask not. So we ask for these things Lord, and pray You will grant our requests according to Your Will.
Amen and amen, Texokie!

Amen to your prayer, TEXOKIE, in Jesus Holy Name.
Prayers always. God bless.
