Dear friend, maybe you were raised to believe - as I was and as many evangelical Christian denominations teach - that Jesus (our Lamb and Savior) was crucified on Good Friday. If one does the math... Friday can never work (see charts below). The "Sign of the prophet Jonah" states it all; The ONLY sign that the Lord would give to the Messiah rejecting leadership of Israel and nation was the sign of the most rejected event and individual of the Bible, Jonah and the whale (Jonah 1:17).
"Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee. But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth Matt. 12:38-40)." (Matt. 16:4, 12:39, 11:29, Luke 11:30).
One MUST think like a Jew and not a gentile to understand the biblical settings that take place in the Bible. Too many gentile "Christians" see Jesus, the apostles, Israel, her promises and the Bible with a "western" perspective and when one seeks to do that, they err greatly on the many things even to the damnation of their soul (Rom. 11:24, 2 Peter 3:16). Almighty God used His chosen nation, people, Jewish believers, the lunar calendar, their culture, customs and heritage to bring forth the Holy Scriptures and the flavor of them. Jesus (a Jew - Matt. 1, Luke 3:23-38, John 1:10-14, Acts 2:22-33, Acts 7, Rom. 1:1-3, Rev. 22:16) presented the Gospel to the Jews first and when He taught them, He talked and taught them as "Jew to Jew" and used their customs, heritage and society to teach them the wondrous ETERNAL TRUTHS of Almighty God (Matt. 5-7, 13, 15:24, Mark 10:6, John 6, 10, Romans 1:16).
Many to this day who profess to know the Lord Jesus and call themselves Christians, know Him not as set forth by the Holy Scriptures (Matt. 7:21-23, Rom. 10:2-4)? This Passover and Resurrection Sunday may you be sure that you TRULY know the very One who died for our sins and gave His life for us all that we may find forgiveness, pardon and live with Him FOREVERMORE in RIGHTEOUSNESS (Isa. 52:13-15, 53:1-12, John 3:16-17, Acts 4:12, Romans 4:25, Gal. 3:13, 1 Cor. 1:30, 15:1-4, 2 Cor. 5:21, 1 John 3:5, Rev. 1:5-7)!
The Lord Jesus ROSE VICTORIOUSLY from the grave for ALL, but truly how many of the "ALL" will truly trust Him as their Lord and Savior as set forth by the Holy Scriptures?? Tragically, not many (Matt. 7:13-14, Rom. 10:2-4)!

This is what the Gregorian calendar does,which were needed corrections, and thus is not offensive to God.
Then please do not make such a big deal then about the calendar. Let it go.

Simple “Biblical” math:
Thursday (Sabbath feast of Unleavened Bread): evening & morning day 1
Friday: evening & morning day 2
Shabbat: evening & morning day 3
And so He rose as “Lord of the Sabbath” on the Sabbath
Mat 28:1 In the end (G3796) of the Sabbath, as it began to dawn (G2020) toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
G3796 ‘opse’ From the same as G3694 (through the idea of backwardness); (adverbially) late in the day; by extension after the close of the day: - (at) even, in the end.
G2020 'epiphosko' A form of G2017; to begin to grow light: - begin to dawn, draw on

One can not be going towards something is they are already in it, while also keeping in mind the Appointed Times of the Messiah, this verse, therefore, is more properly be translated as, "as the first of the counting of the weeks drew near", as in relation to the counting of the 7 weeks leading up to Pentecost (Feast of Weeks).
In the beginning the “Light” was surrounded by darkness (Jesus in the tomb) and then the “Light” was called to come forth out of the darkness (resurrection from the tomb), and there was evening and morning the first day.

The motivation for devising the calendar was to reset the proper timing for Easter, and then the calendar 'ended up' named after a pope name Gregory, which makes this quite a fascinating trail:
γρηγορεύω grēgoreúō, gray-gor-yoo'-o; from G1453; to keep awake, i.e. watch (literally or figuratively):—be vigilant, wake, (be) watch(-ful).
From:
ἐγείρω egeírō, eg-i'-ro; probably akin to the base of G58 (through the idea of collecting one's faculties); to waken (transitively or intransitively), i.e. rouse (literally, from sleep, from sitting or lying, from disease, from death; or figuratively, from obscurity, inactivity, ruins, nonexistence):—awake, lift (up), raise (again, up), rear up, (a-)rise (again, up), stand, take up.
As you can check at the above link, egeírō is used for the Resurrection, the timing of which was the point of correcting the Julian calendar.
See, what's in a name? You just never know what will appear on closer inspection. And here we are, talk about timing. :)

They both are based on Satan’s calendar, which you seemed to be quick to think was incorrect anyway a little earlier.
Just not willing to travel all the way down that path because another 1st importance of the gospel and another Jesus is at the end of the path that Satan has laid.

Because times and laws changing (as predicted in Daniel) has Satan enslaving and deceiving the whole world.

Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again? 10You are observing days and months and seasons and years! 11I fear for you, that my efforts for you may have been in vain.…
People are more than free to observe and esteem days like good woden’s day or Thor’s day or Frigg’s day or Saturn’s day or the sun’s day.
Or months like January,February,March,April,etc
Or seasons like the Christmas season or the Lenten or Easter season etc or years.
But as Paul notes, those weak and worthless principles are bound to enslave.
And Satan has absolutely enslaved and deceived the whole world.
...Tomorrow, Seder night, the first night of Pesach, Hamas is trying to arrange for a million Gazans to try to 'rush' the border with Israel. Again, this could be something, it could be nothing, but given the 'atmospheric stress' nearly all of us are picking up at the moment, I can't help feeling something is around the corner.
Yesterday night, I woke up at 4am to find a gale blowing around - winds of over 50 mph were blowing around Jerusalem and are still going, although now they are more like 30 mph. Doors were slamming, washing was trying to fly away, trees were bowing and bending - and I suddenly felt a huge sense of panic.
Not so much because of the wind, more a feeling that 'something' is going down.
