You might think that (A wicked and adulterous generation,) the adulterous would be included in the wicked category, not so. The adulterous are affiliated with Jezebel, spiritual adultery.
a sign of the times
I’m no expert, but I believe the “sign of Jonah” that He was referring to was that Jonah was in the belly of the fish for 3 days/nights and that was a foreshadowing of His death and ressurection. Not a prediction of the restoration of the modern day Israel’s borders.

Yeshua makes two similar statements in Matthew 12 & 16

Notice in Matthew 16 there’s no mention of ‘three days and nights’, that’s because there are three days and three nights between these two statements!
So will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
The ‘heart’ of the earth is the region of Galilee not the grave.

None of this is dated. It gives some history of the New World Order, and in the discussion of the present day, most of the same people are still on the stage.
