Zmirak: Pope Francis Should Repent or Else Resign
Breitbart Nes ^ | January 1, 2018 | Breitbart News

Pope Francis has done more to divide Catholics than any pope in 150 years. He has clouded the Church’s teaching on marriage and sexuality. Francis has thrown out the clear, recent teaching of two of his immediate predecessors — which echoed Church practice and preaching for 2000 years. He has politicized the papacy, using its bully pulpit to further crudely crafted left-wing talking points on everything from the economy to immigration to climate science. He has marginalized and punished his critics, to the point that a new book calls him the “Dictator Pope.” Now he’s defending his handpicked lieutenant, Cardinal Oscar Rodriguez Maradiaga. That Honduran leftist (and anti-Semite) is accused of massive corruption that benefited him personally, to the tune of $40,000 per month. Other favorites of Pope Francis include the disgraced Belgian Cardinal Wilfrid Daneels — who was caught on tape trying to silence a sex abuse victim — and LGBT advocate Fr. James Martin, SJ.

I am a Catholic who has received teaching from twelve years of nuns ...not one lay teacher...and I may have it all wrong but this is what I believe:
The prayer called The apostles’ Creed is what Catholics believe. Those words are the basis for the Religion, as far as I understand. A Pope is INFALLABLE only and really only on the tenets in the Creed. Anything else is BS. He has no authority to make pronouncements on what Catholics have to believe. Francis, being a Jesuit (SJ, stands for Society of Jesus) thinks he is the be all and end all of Catholic belief. He is wrong and along with all the other blips in Popery, he will be forgotten in short order, and we, Catholics, can return to the basics, without Francis’ interjecting questionable declarations. He is an anomaly. He will soon be gone. In the meantime, he should have no affect on any good Catholic.

Jesus was not teaching “Christians”, was he? He was sent “only to the lost sheep of the nation of Israel” (Matthew 15:24). It was Paul whom Jesus called to go to the Gentiles, remember? We were “without hope and without God in the world” before that.

If you listen to the one Jesus sent for you, there is no opposition because you aren’t trying to steal stuff from Israel things but instead getting the things He has for YOU.

These things are heavenly, spiritual and not earthbound. Like I said, Paul will blow up your Labyrinth REAL good. This is why you find Catholics ignoring him in favor of Jesus speaking to THE JEWS, and then trying to put teaching given to those UNDER THE LAW on Gentile, post-Resurrection believers who are NOT UNDER LAW BUT UNDER GRACE.

It doesn’t work...without the smoke, mirrors and sticky tape of Rome.

The Pope is only infallible when he speaks ex cathedra.

Bergoglio has not done that, so Catholics are free to “pick and choose” which opinions he has that they agree with,

I confess to being a lapse Catholic but my impression of this Pope is he is a far leftist communist with ideas harmful to the church in general and Catholic’s everywhere.

Why the leadership in the church picked this particular person makes me wonder what else is going wrong within the upper levels of the Vatican and Catholic church as a whole.

Something or someone is pulling strings that go against thousands of years of belief at a time when the LGBT community in the world has been weaponized. Are there that many Gay Cardinals and pedophile priests? It sure makes one wonder.

The problem I have with the LGBT community isn’t what they do to each other as consenting adults, although it’s not something I would ever consider, it’s that they want to shove their lifestyle down our throats, so to speak, and normalize it in Christianity. If that happens one day; it should happen organically and not forced by Gay Cardinals/Priests/Pope in the Catholic church.

JMHO, YMMV, FWIW.

Have you read Ratzinger’s books on Jesus? The theology is brilliant, and would be unexceptionable in a Bapyist setting, I think. Every page is filled with fresh insights that make you pause and say “I never realized that.” What an extraordinary mind.

He also warned us about the Muslim incursion.

The Catholic Church is the biggest provider of help to the poor. Selling precious relics so some idiot can hang it in his mansion is ludicrous. As the saying goes, the poor will always be among us. We do more for the local poor and homeless than any other religion in our area. I am not look8ng to debate you, but it is a fact. Cheers friend

The "Church" or the parishioners????

When I was in Italy, there was a Catholic orphanage with about 30 kids in it. It was a run down dump with holes in the walls where windows should be, leaky roof and only 2 working toilets in a row of 12.

One old priest and two mid-age Nuns ran the place and our unit sponsored it (fixing up the crap that was wrong) and had to use our own money to do most because the Church deemed that unless it could be supported by charity, it would be allowed to fall.

Probably the wealthiest entity on the planet and it refuses to spend "its own" money -0 kind of forgetful about who really provides and what He thinks of coveting extravagant wealth.....

Yes, the parishioners. I agree the money is not managed properly and every year I never give to Peters Pence.

He does seem to be trying to change us from a Christian faith into some sort of left-wing political party.

Jesus was not teaching “Christians”, was he?

"Christians" -- followers of Christ -- do not consider his teachings something to be ignored. Otherwise, we'd be called "Paulians".

He was sent “only to the lost sheep of the nation of Israel”

There isn't one Gospel for Jews and another Gospel for Gentiles -- Paul himself makes this crystal clear in Romans! -- so the Gospel Jesus preached is just as valid for Gentiles as it is for Jews, even though he left the evangelization of the Gentiles to others.

post-Resurrection believers who are NOT UNDER LAW BUT UNDER GRACE

You really have to misread Romans to not understand that EVERYONE IS UNDER GRACE, AND ALWAYS HAVE BEEN, no matter what the Pharisees and Judaizers preached.

I’m not a Paulian, nor do I disregard any of Jesus’ words or any words in Scripture. Remember, you are the one stuck in the Labyrinth and it’s cascading layers of extra-biblical cant. The CCC and Trent do NOT agree with Paul’s clear and sound teaching on grace, with their hem-hawing and self-dooming anathemas. I would say to you “Look for the exit!” But I’m a realist when it comes to this.

...”Why the leadership in the church picked this particular person makes me wonder what else is going wrong within the upper levels of the Vatican and Catholic church as a whole”.....

Vatican Leadership in Rome is a wealthy political entity....this with power sufficient to move it’s members across the world..... Which is why we see Political Leaders every year go there to meet with whatever Pope is in power. World leaders understand it’s leaderships position politically.

The Pope is a figurehead who is the face of the otherwise power of the Cardinals, Bishops etc. which is highly corrupted.

Certainly. But I’m not stuck in any “labyrinth”; I’m quite clear on what and where the truth is.
