Only that the one who spoke these words was not the pope, but the Burmese state counsellor and foreign minister Aung San Suu Kyi, who is of the Buddhist faith:
That is, if you discount all the sermons Jesus made about climate change, economic justice, and immigration rights.
I appreciate what Aung San Suu Kyi did, but she did not proclaim his Gospel.
This is the Gospel:
1 Cor 15:1-4
“Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you,
which also you received, in which also you stand,
by which also you are saved,
if you hold fast the word which I preached to you,
unless you believed in vain.
For I delivered to you as of first importance
what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
4 and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures”
“Myanmar”
It will always be Burma to me!
Francis just took Aung San off of his Holiday card list!
