"HaShem" literally means "the Name." It is the term used for G-d by Orthodox Jews and Noachides outside of prayers and scriptural citations.
In short, HaShem is G-d.
"By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one for another."
So when love is not exhibited, guess what happens?
Why are you quoting the scripture of a false religion to me? Why should I care what it says?
Your skepticism was an illustration of the statement of Jesus which I then quoted: unless you were merely trolling maliciously, which also happens on these threads.
I stand by that post. Chrstianity is a whole universe of mutually exclusive beliefs sharing nothing in common but a vocabulary (which means something different to each version of chrstianity out there).
This thread is proof enough that chrstianity is nothing but chaos and uncertainty.
ROFLMAO! Enjoy your trolling.
As I said upthread, there is very little more obnoxiously evangelical than an ex-Christian.
And I stand by that statement!
“I didn’t want to draw attention to your misspelling...”
All you did was draw attention to yours.
What?! What more do you want to to read into Scripture via further egregious extrapolation, and what God "could do?" The planet Kolbob? Not only is this proffered additional network not seen in the entire OT, but neither is it in the NT. Did the Holy Spirit not consider recording this most basic Catholic practice important enough to include at least one such prayer in either testament, despite recording over 200 prayers to Heaven?
If PTCBIH was part of the new and better covenant, then why, like other realities, is this also utterly absent in the NT record??? Not even in Hebrews is this taught, and if any book would teach it would be that, which details how this "better" (key word therein) covenant is. Instead it expounds on Christ being the all-sufficient Heavenly intercessor btwn God and man, who is pointed to as the One who can "be touched with the feeling of our infirmities" and is uniquely able to help those who are tempted seeing "he himself hath suffered being tempted," "in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin."
Therefore believers are exhorted, "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need," (Hebrews 4:15-16) (Hebrews 2:18) and they have immediate direct access with "boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus," (Hebrews 10:19) who ever lives to make intercession for them. (Hebrews 7:25) Thus let is be "Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God." (Hebrews 12:2)
It is to him that the great cloud of witnesses looked to and and look, and woulds have pray directly to, as part of the blessing of "so great salvation." Despite the many opportunities to include praying to created beings in Heaven, and their availability, with even more being present after the resurrection, the Holy Spirit nowhere records PTCBIH despite the abundance of prayer and this being a most basic practice, and only instructs addressing God in praying to Heaven.
Stop trying read this into Scripture , ad just admit is part of your "vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers." (1 Peter 1:18)
I merely responded to your post to me.
How blind can some people be? Chrstians have slaughtered each other for two thousand years because they can't agree on what chrstianity is or what it teaches, but to point this out is "trolling!"
Lol indeed.
I never mentioned "Kolbob" (whatever in the galaxy that is), and my quote does not contain the words what God "could do".
Stop putting words in my mouth. That's dishonest.
The problem is that you are accepting Sola Scriptura not only as axiomatic, but exclusive.
That is, apparently you think that "if it's necessary for salvation, it's in Scripture" implies that ONLY those things explicitly in Scripture have any validity;
it then *appears* (from what you write) that you think
1) if someone denies Sola Scriptura, they must be open to any and all outside-of-Scripture ideas
2) They believe all these things are "supposed" to be given equal weight with Scripture.
None of those ideas are _accurate_. Some people might insist on them, but not _everybody_ does.
For example, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Jesus appeared to Sister Faustina Kowalska in 1931, a number of times. Some of the notes she took read as follows:
Paint an image according to the pattern you see, with the signature: Jesus I trust in You. I desire that this image be venerated, first in your chapel, and throughout the world. (Diary 47)
I promise that the soul that will venerate this image will not perish. I also promise victory over its enemies already here on earth, especially at the hour of death. I myself will defend it as My own glory. (Diary 48)
I am offering people a vessel with which they are to keep coming for graces to the fountain of mercy. That vessel is this image with the signature" :Jesus, I trust in You." (Diary 327)
The two rays denote Blood and Water. the pale ray stands for the Water which makes souls righteous. The red ray stands for the Blood which is the life of souls. These two rays issued forth from the very depths of My tender mercy when My agonized heart was opened by a lance on the Cross. These rays shield souls from the wrath of My Father. Happy is the one who dwell in their shelter, for the just hand of God shall not lay hold of him. (Diary 299)
Not in the beauty of the color, nor of the brush, lies the greatness of this image, but in My grace. (Diary 313)
By means of this image I shall grant many graces to souls. It is to be a reminder of the demands of My mercy, because even the strongest faith is of no avail without works. (Diary 742)
And the image is as follows:
I find it singularly difficult to decry anything about this image, or the accompanying explanation, as heretical, or leading people away from salvation.
That’s a big *if*.
We are warned in Scripture that Satan can even appear as an angel of light.
There’s no reason to believe that God send Mary to do anything here on earth.
The message and promises she made do not line up with Scripture so that immediately brings into question the source of the apparition.
If they had a deathbed confession, they had a death bed confession.
It does not negate my point about water baptism.
I’m going to grab that for future use.
That sums it up SOOOOO well.
Like the fallback of *God can do anything He wants* is some sort of substantiative argument that He DID do something.......
John 1:14-17 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John bore witness about him, and cried out, This was he of whom I said, He who comes after me ranks before me, because he was before me.) For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
Whoops, Make that "Kolob" (Additional grace: God could do it...not forbidden=believers may be on it).
Marvelous post!!! I can’t wait to hit “view replies” though that post should have silenced most RC replies.
No, it doesn’t go along with the KJV.
One commandment is taken out and
another is broken into two pieces
to get the number back up to ten.

Sure Vlad! Whatever you claim.
Kolbob, the Mormonic Version of Shish Kabob, but made as a casserole that includes jello...
