The concept of a Heavenly Mother has a profound psychological appeal, and while not official doctrine, this is seen in Mormonism as well.

Since we know there is nothing thing new under the sun, where do you think Mormonism came from? I heard someone say, years ago, that Mormon doctrine, may be somewhat based on Hinduism, you know there is a God spark in all of us, and I think they also have some sort of queen of Heaven doctrine. Ultimately, I think it all comes from paganism.
