Wow!
She's racked up quite a few airline miles by now!!
Isn't the One, True Church doing an adequate job??
Great gif. Totally mind blowing. :)
Hey, y’all. Yes, I’m still out here, lurking every now and then. Carry on.
Peace,
SR
Attributing the work of Jesus to Mary is not going to end well.
Jesus judges? Not by HIS words. He told us that He came to save not judge and HE was the one who promised answered prayer when we prayed to the Father in His name.
That fella you quoted is a false teacher.
I know! :)
I posted it so people are aware of how Roman Catholicism views her.
That is not how she is portrayed in the NT as we know.
Wow! Good to know you are out there, and if it takes a stunning GIF to hear from you then we may have to post more.
LOL. :-D
John 5:21ff21For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whom He wishes. 22Furthermore, the Father judges no one, but has assigned all judgment to the Son, 23so that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.
2Tim 4:8 henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give to me at that day; and not to me only, but also to all them that have loved his appearing.
John 5:30 "I can do nothing on My own initiative As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is just, because I do not seek My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.
John 9:39 And Jesus said, "For judgment I came into this world, so that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may become blind."
There are more, but these are some in His own words. Paul, James and Acts 17:31 "because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead."
Scripture is clear Who will judge the 'quick and the dead'.
And yet we have Jesus saying here in John 12:47.......
If anyone hears my words and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world.
The context of the comment I was referring to is that of Jesus judging the sinner, who is supposed to be a believer.
The verses you posted talk about God judging through Jesus.
The problem is when people do not see Jesus as their Savior, but rather as their judge so they go to someone else, like Mary, to appease Jesus.
Believers are already forgiven, there is no condemnation.
John 5 is pretty clear that all judgement has been given to the Son. Jesus will judge all at their death or the last day. Believers have no reason to fear as they have been justified by grace through faith in the redeeming work of Jesus.
The problem is when people do not see Jesus as their Savior, but rather as their judge so they go to someone else, like Mary, to appease Jesus.
I think you are absolutely correct in that assessment, but that doesn't change the facts. It is really indicative of a condition when works replace faith. How can you know when you have done enough vs believing and accepting the finished work of Christ trusting in His promises.
Because in verse 48 there is the answer. When Jesus was on earth He was there to save. Then we have His Word. That will condemn the unbeliever.
48 There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; the very words I have spoken will condemn them at the last day.
SR, you’re back! I haven’t seen you on FR in a very long time.
I hope you are well, and Merry Christmas!
