In America today, there are roughly 300,000 churches claiming to represent Jesus Christ, thats an average of 6,000 churches per state. Thats a lot of churches. So why are so many professing Christians ignorant about the main theme of the Bible? Because there is not one in a thousand that preaches Bible doctrine, and not one in ten thousand that believes the book of Revelation is a road map of the future.

Because all the worthy Christians were raptured up on September 23, 2017. 4
Posh! It was 1988!
We been left behind!
So I reiterate the point. Jesus commanded us to love others as He loved us. A constant, overarching focus on the secret rapture indeed distracts believers from that imperative.
Maybe you're not the reformed liberal that you think you are.
Yeshua HaMashiach, also told us to pray, that we may be counted worth to escape!! Escape what? The coming tribulation, that's what. The rapture will take us out of this Obama, pope Francis, ISIS, Moslem and corrupted world!!! A world becoming more and more evil by the day!!!
Perhaps you are too holy, by your liberal standards, to need to pray for the rapture to take you. I pray to be raptured AND I pray YOU are too!
I remember a certain man in the gospels......who, when Mary Magdalene put costly fragrance/ointment on the feet of Yeshua, complained that this woman is using costly ointment that should have been sold and the money used for the poor. Mary was focusing on Yeshua but Judas was focused on.....well, you fill in the blank.
It’s not about me. I am essentially a nobody—a sinner saved by grace. The blood of Christ is my only claim—and again, that’s not about me. It’s about the Savior.
If it’s about Christ then His words are paramount. In the latter part of Matthew 25, Jesus gives us a clear and stark image. He illustrates hiw the saved will be separated from the lost, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
On what basis does the separation occur? The text is simple and straightforward. Those who have shown agape love to the least among us will enter into their reward. Those who withheld agape love from their fellow human beings will be sent into eternal fire.
This is the focus we must maintain. The Apostle Paul drove the point home in I Corinthians 13. Nothing we do absent agape counts for anything. What we do when we love others as Christ loved us is what Jesus spoke of in Matthew 25:31ff. This is what makes the difference between an eternity in God’s presence vs an eternity in everlasting fire.
Posh! It was 1988!
We been left behind!

Translation: Traditional American-style "pre-trib" fundamentalism is too pro-Jewish. No sir, "palaeocons" don't have a speck of Biblical sentimentalism in their bodies (a trait they share with liberal Jews).
Of course, the thing is, "palaeos" don't really believe in chrstianity at all, other than as merely one aspect (among many) of white, "western," European civilization. Many of them are secret atheists or agnostics to whom J*sus is a mere mythical/symbolic ethnic patriarch.
Because so many American Christians have this concept that they as Christians will live a comfortable life style were they dont suffer for Cbrist living a country club Christianity life style ?
They believe that they wont have to suffer and go through the great Tribulation were even Christ said himself in Matthew chapter 24 verse 29 “ After the Tribulation of those days “ will he come.
Actually today’s so called Christian Church in America has been infiltrated and indoctrinated with the New Age Cult religion teachings..
Most of your modern Bibles have New Age teachings or phrases in it.
I’ll stick to my 1611 Authorized King James Bible, or the 1599 Geneva Bible.
“Because there is not one in a thousand that preaches Bible doctrine”
Has the author been to a thousand churches? Of course, not. Arrogance on display. “You’re not a Christian because only I am! I know what a Christian is and you don’t! neerner neener!”
The author is displaying why so many have turned from churches. It is because so many are full of ignorant and arrogant, not to m4etnioan annoying, sinners such at the author.
They removed the Oldtime Gosple to appear to be update , hip, modern, relevent to the New Age teachings...
The problem of today... Let us not teach the truth of what the bible actually says about man and his rebellious nature and sin against God least we offend many or hurt feelings to where they won’t fill the pews and we lose money.
I say preach the truth of the bible and the Oldtime Gosple and God will send those of his sheep that need saving...
Those that reject the Gosple, Christ and God’s ONLY way of Salvation will have no excuse on Judgememt Day.
The Old Time Gosple preaching and Hellfire and Brimstone preaching will be making it’s way back.....but not in all churches....
Not all who say that they are part of the body of Christ belong to Christ.
Bottom line: make darn SURE you’re ready at all times... that means every minute of every day - LIVE to please and honor the Lord.
God is refining his remnant, weeding out the tares, purifying his chosen ones from the pollution , corruptions of this world.
God is letting the corrupt old stale ( man made wordly ) religious churches die on the vine.
If one were to actually look at the real early chruch... The early church meet from house to house every day.
.
His opening statement is 100% correct.
What else does he offer?
.
You prove my point.
I love Packer’s introduction. Of course I love Owen’s book, too. It’s a book every Christian should read until they understand it. In his essay, Packer said (and I’m paraphrasing) that those who’ve tasted the sweetness of the gospel of the sovereign grace of God in Christ will not desire the new gospel preached today. I heartily agree.
.
If you believe that you will probably not see the wedding feast!
You do not believe the plain word of God.
The author is apparently a member of just another kook club, but his opening statement at the head of this thread is right on, as far as it goes.
.
“The early church meet from house to house every day.”
Exactly. God doesn’t need multi-million dollar buildings, fancy clothes, and orchestrated sermons.
