The Venezuelan Episcopal Conference (CEV) has publicly invoked the intercession of the Virgin Mary to free the nation from the claws of communism, in a clear reference to the regime of President Nicolás Maduro.
Blessed Virgin, Mother of Coromoto, heavenly Patron of Venezuela, free our country from the claws of communism and socialism, the CEV posted on Twitter this Sunday, complete with an image of Santa Maria and a Venezuelan flag.

Now only do YOU mindread; you are challenging OTHERS to do so!
She HAD to be!!
Only a SINLESS person can give birth to ANOTHER sinless one.
This IS Catholic teaching about Mary; so HER mom had to be sinless, and GRAMMA, and GREAT-gramma...
It's turtles; all the way down.
If you deny what is WRITTEN in the Book Rome assembled; so long ago; you can accept what is NOT written there by the same, massive religious organization.
Back when there was just ONE ‘command’; it is recorded that two people managed to not obey it.
HMMMmmm...
Don't worry; even Jesus hung out with prostitutes and tax collectors ;^)
He appears to me; from his postings here; that he might THINK he is.
25 When they found him on the other side of the lake, they asked him, Rabbi, when did you get here?
26 Jesus answered, Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill. 27 Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.
28 Then they asked him, What must we do to do the works God requires?
29 Jesus answered, The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.
30 So they asked him, What sign then will you give that we may see it and believe you? What will you do? 31 Our ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written: He gave them bread from heaven to eat.[c]
32 Jesus said to them, Very truly I tell you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.
34 Sir, they said, always give us this bread.
35 Then Jesus declared, I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. 36 But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe. 37 All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. 38 For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. 39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. 40 For my Fathers will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.
Does that include fawning at your mom's feet?
Well; I can't speak for him, but...
--Poorly_Catechized_Catholic_Dude(Hail Mary!!!)
Hmmmm.... maybe Luther was right.
There are more verses in this psalm...
1 Save me, O God,
for the waters have come up to my neck.
2 I sink in the miry depths,
where there is no foothold.
I have come into the deep waters;
the floods engulf me.
3 I am worn out calling for help;
my throat is parched.
My eyes fail,
looking for my God.
4 Those who hate me without reason
outnumber the hairs of my head;
many are my enemies without cause,
those who seek to destroy me.
I am forced to restore
what I did not steal.
5 You, God, know my folly;
my guilt is not hidden from you.
6 Lord, the Lord Almighty,
may those who hope in you
not be disgraced because of me;
God of Israel,
may those who seek you
not be put to shame because of me.
7 For I endure scorn for your sake,
and shame covers my face.
8 I am a foreigner to my own family,
a stranger to my own mothers children;
9 for zeal for your house consumes me,
and the insults of those who insult you fall on me.
10 When I weep and fast,
I must endure scorn;
11 when I put on sackcloth,
people make sport of me.
12 Those who sit at the gate mock me,
and I am the song of the drunkards.
13 But I pray to you, Lord,
in the time of your favor;
in your great love, O God,
answer me with your sure salvation.
14 Rescue me from the mire,
do not let me sink;
deliver me from those who hate me,
from the deep waters.
15 Do not let the floodwaters engulf me
or the depths swallow me up
or the pit close its mouth over me.
16 Answer me, Lord, out of the goodness of your love;
in your great mercy turn to me.
17 Do not hide your face from your servant;
answer me quickly, for I am in trouble.
18 Come near and rescue me;
deliver me because of my foes.
19 You know how I am scorned, disgraced and shamed;
all my enemies are before you.
20 Scorn has broken my heart
and has left me helpless;
I looked for sympathy, but there was none,
for comforters, but I found none.
21 They put gall in my food
and gave me vinegar for my thirst.
22 May the table set before them become a snare;
may it become retribution and[b] a trap.
23 May their eyes be darkened so they cannot see,
and their backs be bent forever.
24 Pour out your wrath on them;
let your fierce anger overtake them.
25 May their place be deserted;
let there be no one to dwell in their tents.
26 For they persecute those you wound
and talk about the pain of those you hurt.
27 Charge them with crime upon crime;
do not let them share in your salvation.
28 May they be blotted out of the book of life
and not be listed with the righteous.
29 But as for me, afflicted and in pain
may your salvation, God, protect me.
30 I will praise Gods name in song
and glorify him with thanksgiving.
31 This will please the Lord more than an ox,
more than a bull with its horns and hooves.
32 The poor will see and be glad
you who seek God, may your hearts live!
33 The Lord hears the needy
and does not despise his captive people.
34 Let heaven and earth praise him,
the seas and all that move in them,
35 for God will save Zion
and rebuild the cities of Judah.
Then people will settle there and possess it;
36 the children of his servants will inherit it,
and those who love his name will dwell there
From Indianapolis to Eddyville, KY I traveled yesterday; along with THOUSANDS that tried to cross one of the few bridges over the Ohio.
Luckily, I had ®GoogleMaps to lead me thru some offbeat and off the interstate streets in Evansville!
We still had to get back on at the river to get across the water. It only took 20 minutes to be able to DARE to force our way into the traffic stream.
WE drove thru some very pretty (and very POOR) sections of Kentucky, but it was well worth it.
NO glasses could be found in the central Indiana area, so I had various pieces of welding glass, boxes with pinholes, magnifying glasses and paper plates with a small hole in it.
Approaching our destination, the road revealing many groups of people awaiting one of GOD's great wonders.
We found the LAST parking spot at the McDonalds and slipped into it just as the sun was starting to be eaten by the moon.
What fun it was; talking to folks; to see where they'd traveled from. One fella had come from Phoenix on a plane. Landed in St. Louis and drove over to see the event!
You've probably read and heard many words and seen many pictures by now; so mine would be redundant; so I'll just say that McDonald's HAD a supply of glasses and they were NOT insanely priced: just 2 bucks each!!
My wife could not understand what the big deal was all about before it happened, but became a believer WHEN it did!
A granddaughter, still at home in Indy; didn't get the thing at all; calling it a big waste of time!
Returning home, I vowed to drive thru a MUCH smaller town on the Ohio to cross back into Indiana.
Thumbing my nose at Henderson as we drove past; I could see the bumper-to-bumper, NON-moving traffic, stuck on the I-69 bridge.
Some will say, "You drove HOW far to doing something for 2 minutes and 40 SECONDS???
And I'll just smile and say, "Yes."
You are correct MM. Anyone who thinks they can keep the commandments of God, in order to attain Heaven, is being quite foolish, and will find themselves in fire, that they hope is Purgatory. It won't be, and they are in CLEAR violation of John 10:1. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
What a great and wonderful thing to have left that false religion, as you did. It's a beautiful thing to have ASSURANCE of salvation. If others do not accept that, quite frankly, that is their problem. 😇
Any of the goats travel with you? If so, I wonder if they were as fascinated as I was with the rippling water-like waves of light on the ground for two to three minutes immediately following the moment of total eclipse.
Few others seem to have noticed. Perhaps that was due to their being with a group of people and my standing alone in my front yard and not looking directly at the eclipse.
Greenville-Spartanburg has never seen so many people — so many cars.
It's so close, right next door to it, property lines (and identities) become blurred regardless of claims to the contrary.
It's necromancy. I was guilty of that when I was a Catholic, but since I am an ex Catholic, I don't commit the sin of necromancy any more. I DO commit the sin of presumption, in that I have assurance of salvation. 😇🇵🇭
This is a falsehood; and I am betting you know that "bearing false witness" is still a sin.
Simply disgraceful.
What a wonderful and amazing adventure! I’d like to shake the hand of the manager at that McDonald’s. Imagine having solar eclipse viewing glasses for sale—capitalism at its best!
So if the Holy Spirit says firstborn and not only the Jesus was the FIRSTborn. There were more that followed.
