When a Marian apparition instructs to ‘serve her’, you can be sure that message is not from God because of the Ten Commandments ... God is not duplicitous.

If Mary was worthy of devotion, then when she was in the upper room at Pentecost, Peter and the other disciples would have been venerating Mary instead of waiting for the Holy Spirit to fall...
Mary herself would be freaked out at the idolatry of her.

Why don't you ask a few Catholics and see what they say, you know, to get a general idea?Good Idea!
Hey FR Catholics!!
Why do you obsess over Mary so much?

That's a sticky theological point, and probably over my head.
She was not "innately sinless" by any intrinsic merit or worth of her own; she did not "slip through the cracks" as far as sin;
but the Catholic holding is that she was retroactively imbued with Divine Grace so as to be preserved from Original Sin.

The reference to the Passion comes from one of the Mysteries of the Rosary. Why not use Scripture.
It SURELY predates it!

Why write this post to me?
Fwiw, I'm not a member of any church. I'm a non-denominational believer. Always have been and still am.
And, fwiw, I don't claim to "see", but I am open to the Holy Spirit showing me whatever and teaching me as He wishes.
Perhaps it's because of all the science fiction and fantasy I read and watched growing up that my mind and imagination are not as bound and tied by worldly rationality as with some? I dunno...
Whatever the reason(s), I don't seem to suffer the doubts and fears that other Protestant believers seem to have about the supernatural aspects of Jesus and JudeoChristianity, including those about Mary.
To me, the miracles written about in the Scriptures barely scratch the surface of the infinite Holy possible.
In this regard, based upon what I've learned so far, the Catholics have a richer spiritual relationship and understanding of and with Heaven and hell.
This could be early senility, but kinda like with little kids, Jesus is my very real imaginary friend and I talk to Him quite a lot these days. I really like the Jesus prayer and maybe one day I'll add the Hail Mary to my repertoire, too.
To answer your question to FR Catholics, I don't obsess over Mary, but I am curious about Mary and I am open to Heaven and whomever Jesus sends to us.
In this, you worry me about you, LC. Fwiw, you do claim to "see" and sometimes I truly wish you would not let your inner scribe and Pharisee get the better of you on these threads.

Why write this post to me? 'cause you told me(?) to ask Catholics; thus the BIG font so they cannot claim to have missed it.
I've n o way to know how many Catholics actually READ these threads and NEVER reply to anything; and I sure wasn't gonna go through this thread and track down each one that DOES post here.
So; they can either respond or not.

When you can discern the fact that JESUS actually sent someone; I'd be curious to know how that works.
I've 'seen' lots of dudes on TV that claim that GOD told them to do such and such.

I DO???
Just WHERE in this thread have I made a CLAIM of 'seeing'?
Here; I'll post my replies with the word SEE in them that I've posted; as well as some others.
This Scribe and Pharisee would surely like to be known on FR as NOT being blind.

God can Pre-Forgive anyone He Wants anytime He Wants....
Dang!
I've somehow MISSED that in the Book that Rome assembled.
Could you list it here for me?
I'd bet that any lurkers (masochists they'd be by now) would like to see it as well as I.

What is a mystery to me is why so many Catholics obsess over her.I can think of some reason that might explain it, but I'd be guessing.
Why don't you ask a few Catholics and see what they say, you know, to get a general idea?
And don't forget the Orthodox. Aren't they of a similar mind and opinion as the Catholics are about all things Mary?

You could be right.
I see data that supports your thoughts and opinions and data that refutes.
Personally, though my ego hates this and fights me tooth and nail about it, I think it's okay for me to admit that I don't know.

You tell me. Is it possible to send a signal grace from heaven? Or is it impossible for Jesus to do so?
I'll tell you that the book Rome assembled states that no one knows what's going to go on it heaven; so why are you wanting to get someone to merely speculate??

Not that it matters, but your post was to me alone and didn't include any of those who are Catholic, that's why I asked.
Regarding those who He sends to humanity, at minimum, I believe it as it was. He has all of Heaven at His disposal and He still sends His prophets to us, too, just as in the recorded past.
Moreover, I also believe that the same sorts who persecuted Him and those He sent in recorded times also persecute those he sends now in ours, and for the same reasons and by similar methods.
To me, being able to "see" in this context is not having the spiritual blindness spoken of in John 9.
I regret if I've misjudged you in this.

Hasn't enough been said already?
Luke 16:27-30
27 He answered, Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my family,
28 for I have five brothers. Let him warn them so they will not also end up in this place of torment.
29 But Abraham replied, They have Moses and the prophets; let your brothers listen to them.
30 No, father Abraham, he said, but if someone is sent to them from the dead, they will repent.
It seems to me that you might be singing the same song the rich man did; so long ago.
