"Catholics Will Have to Decide Whether They Guard the Faith Over Papolatry"

“Francis is more interested in leftwing politics than in Catholic theology”, George Neumayr, contributing editor of The American Spectator, states talking to Tom Woods on July 14th on tomwoods.com. Woods describes Francis as a result of John Paul II who - as he puts it - appointed "absolutely terrible people" as bishops: "Catholics have suffered under Bergoglios for decades now”.

Neumayr agrees that a lot of the liberal bishops were appointed by John Paul II and Benedict XVI. He sees Francis as the “culmination of a century” of liberalism and modernism in the Church.

For him it is "highly unlikely" that Francis, who in his theology is “more a Protestant than a Catholic” will convert to Catholicism. Instead, the realistic scenario is that Francis will produce division and chaos, "Catholics will have to decide whether they guard the faith over papolatry.”

And: “The Cardinals have to declare that Francis is a bad pope who must be resisted.”

Even if read; would it be understood?

Even if understood; would it be accepted?

Even if accepted; would it become part of their faith?

We also have the following:

1 John 3:21-24

Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him. And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.

Who said that? Good works are by grace.

And just HOW does one acquire the POWER to do 'good works'?

The difference between you and aMorePerfectUnion illustrate the difficulty of getting a straight answer to the question of whether good works must accompany faith or whether faith covers even those who persist in sin.

How much 'sin persisting' can a Catholic DO before they get the dreaded 'RETAINED'?

Is there a LIMIT to the amount of Hail Marys that a confessional priest can impose on a 'faithful' Catholic??

...the question of whether good works must accompany faith or whether faith covers even those who persist in sin.

There seems to be a confusion over what it takes to GET 'saved' and what it takes to STAY 'saved'.

Aaaaah...

The problem of trying to take a specific and apply it to the general.

Sin is an act of the will.

The Book Rome assembled disagrees with you.

Leviticus 5:17-19  Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)

17 If any one sin through ignorance, and do one of those things which by the law of the Lord are forbidden, and being guilty of sin, understand his iniquity,

18 He shall offer of the flocks a ram without blemish to the priest, according to the measure and estimation of the sin: and the priest shall pray for him, because he did it ignorantly: and it shall be forgiven him,

19 Because by mistake he trespassed against the Lord.

Using a Catholic assembled book to answer questions of Catholic origin.

Why can't they read the thing for THEMSELVES???

He explained our Obedience based salvation.

"You be good; for the rest of the day; and you'll get some ice cream for dessert after dinner; if you eat all your veggies."

No private interpretation, the Bible says.

Just OURS; Rome says.

You didn’t know that there is a difference between sacramentals and the seven sacraments?

Sacramentals are sacred signs that bear a certain resemblance to the sacraments. Sacramentals include such things as holy oils, bells, incense, candles, holy water, and medals and scapulars, including the brown scapular.

“Why talk to a DEAD WOMAN to talk to Jesus FOR you?”

Mark 12:26-27

Have a blessed day.

Do not post to me again for 30 days. Thanks.

Ooops, you dragged Hitler into it.

That’s an automatic forfeiture of the debate.

Godwin’s Corollary can now be invoked.

So he starts a church of sorts, based on *his* interpretation of the Bible, and when someone disagrees with Luther’s interpretation, he starts his own church, all the while burning witches, destroying property that doesn’t belong to them, fomenting war and rebellion, and starting new churches each time someone disagrees with his minister’s interpretation, until there are dozens of “Christian” churches unified only in their hatred of the original Church founded not by Wesley or Smyth or Darby or Eddy, but by Jesus Christ Himself.

Says a guy who follows a church's own interpretation of Scripture.

Can you say *Inquisition*? Because everything you accuse Luther of, the Catholic church has in its long, sordid history.

The irony......
