"Christians get to go through it, otherwise there are no Christians to persecute."

After the Rapture there will be many many people left on earth who always believed they were Christians but unfortunately did not fully understand that being a Christian means confessing that one is a sinner, totally surrendering ones life to God, and fully believing that Christ's resurrection paid in full for our sins. I would add to the above a belief that God's Holy Word, the Bible is 100% literally true, but I suspect that doing the 1st three on the above list will mean that the Holy Spirit entering your life will show you the literal truth of the Bible.

So those left as confused, but wanting to be Christian, will then understand what they were missing and fully repent and believe. It will be too late for them to join in the Rapture, but not too late for salvation, and they will be persecuted by the Godless.

The irony of that group which the Bible in Revelation describes as “no man could count” (Revelation 7:9) will be that they will accept Christ after the Rapture.

With the malignant forces of world rulers rejoicing that “bigoted” Christians are gone, this second group that all of a sudden appears post-rapture (believing the Truth after the fact) will most definitely be dealt with int the harshest extremes by the authorities in charge in a holocaust never before seen.

Imagine their disgust that they finally got rid of all the intolerant conservative Christians in the world, and then these post-trib believers begin to be vocal about what happened? It’s going to be the devil’s fury on them.

>> being a Christian means confessing that one is a sinner, totally surrendering ones life to God, and fully believing that Christ’s resurrection paid in full for our sins.<<

You are confusing sanctification/discipleship with salvation and distorting simple faith.
(1) Confessing that one is a sinner — to how many others, in what specificity? Any juicy details? Did the Ethiopian eunuch do this before Phillip baptized him?
Also, on that list, you didn’t include baptism — maybe??? That’s what the Church of Christ teaches.
(2) “Totally surrendered” to God. That’s pretty tough for an unbeliever to muster, very difficult to work up to. (What if the Lord wants me to leave home and preach to the Inuits and I don’t want to?) You’ve got to give that convert lots of kudos if he gets there. He’s got BIG bragging rights in heaven.
(3) Believing in the resurrection as being propitious? I thought it was the death of Christ. The resurrection is actually God’s affirmation of the work of Christ — NOT US!!!!

Try this: Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.

All those who confess Jesus is lord and believe it will be saved. Everything else is just garnish. That is all it takes according to the Bible.

The pre-tribulation rapture is 100% false cherry picking nonsense.

God didn’t pluck Noah and his family away. He made them weather the storm. Nor those in Sodom and Gomorrah, or Egypt.
