The men who wrote the books of the Bible (apart from the Ten Commandments, which were written personally with God’s finger) were inspired by the Holy Spirit, which is God. So yes, God wrote it through them and it is His literal word.
It’s not relevant what Muslims think the Koran is. That book is lies and the Bible is truth.
I agree with others that it depends on what you consider “literal”. I believe that it is all inspired by God. And it was obviously very sacred - with every “jot and tittle” reproduced perfectly. Literal to me makes me think of Joseph Smith looking into his hat and reciting, word by word, his “scriptures”.
I like the previous poster pointing out that the 10 Commandments were the literal words. And I suppose we can count the words of Jesus as the literal words of God. BUT - even then, Jesus spoke so much in parables and stuff that even His words can’t be taken literally.
Oh crap - it was you that mentioned the Ten Commandments! I’m guessing that there are other quotes from God as well. “Tell them ‘I AM’ has sent you”. Etc.
That would make each writer a prophet. There is no indication of that.

Correct.
