My magandang asawa (wife) insists it will be Tagalog, since she is already fluent in it. 😆 Somehow, I question that. 😃😇
Boy was I ever glad when English became the international language! :o)
I don’t think understanding each other will be a problem in heaven. We may not even HAVE TO speak!
Yes, we have no idea. Maybe we will communicate by thoughts.
I am sure Heaven will be a million times better, than the best thing we could ever imagine. I also believe, for cultists, Hell will be a million times worse, than the worst thing they could ever imagine too. Not a pretty picture for them.
Let us attempt to correctly finish that thought:
While the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are one, they are also separate manifestations of the same eternal unchangeable substance.
This is not to say that the living body inhabited by the Son could not be changeable by growth, ageing, need for nutrients, repair of damage to its fleshly components, presence of symbiotic microorganisms both externally and internally, and other contemporary effects; yet His eternal soul and Spirit remained the same though incarnated.
This is reminiscent of the character of a typical compound of elements whose temporal circumstances call forth its distinct differentiating manifestations:
o solid
o liquid
o gaseous
according to the phase rule, discovered in general revelation and enunciated by the mathemetician J. Willard Gibbs (click here) over a hundred years ago.
This tells us that the mysteries of God, put into effect at the beginning of this temporal phase of eternity, are still being unfolded for us according to God's plan in the fulness of time, and there is more, much more yet to come.
Likewise, the facts of the special revelation of The God's salvation plan in which God progressively revealed His Will/Covenants/Testimonies by the prophets, are still being seen in the the light of history and science by prophets of the general revelation. Such Scriptural knowledge, not seen by earlier religious "experts" despite their time in history and their desire to hide their shortcomings (Rom. 1:18-22; "hold" = withhold), now refutes and revokes the humanistic theism they invented to cover their blindness and inability to exercise faith in the Word of God alone.
Recently discovered scientific principles and medical procedures have shown us that the myth of Mary's "Immaculate Conception" was a logical artifice constructed by biologically-ignorant geniuses (who also debated about the number of angels the head of a pin could accommodate, and that the Earth is the center of the universe) in continuing their prideful grasp on the credulity of serfs and power of emperors.
Medical science and technology has shown us that it is entirely within the scope of human intelligence to implant the zygote of an otherwise childless couple in the womb of a willing but unrelated surrogate host female to bring the new person into the world. How much more so that the omnipotent, omniscient Almighty and Reverend God should bring the human residence of His Only Begotten-in-the-Flesh Son into the world, at the time and place in history that the Father saw fitting.
This, of course is speculation, but it is more than just idle conjecture. And this approach clearly surmounts the Scripturally indefensible doctrines of Mary's conception, everlasting virginity, and deathless assumtion that the unlearned "sages" were forced to adopt to make their logical artifice hold together.
The Calvinists, Baptists, and Darbyites--the Sola Scriptura and sole fide faithful Christ-followers--have a progressively firmer stance as the facts of general revelation continue to unfold, and the eschatology of the Bible departs from the humanistic amillenialism and preterism that has kept the gullible religionists in the category of a cash cow to serve the unitary organized state-sponsored churches.
Thank the Founders of the United States Constitution and its Amenders to keep religious liberty alive, free of the quashing intent of those who wish to exercise the slavery of historical Christendom to overcome the remnant of true disciples of the coming Messiah, and His Thousand-Year Kingdom of Righteousness and Peace.
As an observation, my inclination is to suspect that Jesus' detractors attempted to slyly hint that He was an out-of-wedlock-conceived product of Mary's espousal history (Jn. 8:41). I take it that they were trying to use any excuse they could find to undercut His authority. If it were so (and it is not) that Mary had no other children it would not be out of possibility that they would attempt to claim that, Joseph having no other children by Mary, that Mary was actually infertile, and that Jesus' inclusion in the family could be a way to cover the outcome of yet another indiscretion of Joseph.
But when (and Scripture shows it so) that Joseph and Mary had more children, and plenty of them, that avenue would be closed for all time. And that may be the determined reason that in several places the report of Him having brothers and sisters of the same mother was included.
On another issue, it has been mentioned in the comments on this article that some maintained that James the son of Alphaeus/(Clopas?), one of the Apostles, was the influential elder of the Jerusalem congregation (Acts 15:13) who summed up the deliberations of the council regarding strictures on Gentile candidates for church membership. But that claim is questionable in view of the context of Galatians 1:19, to insist that this particular James was not a conjoint sibling of Jesus, sharing Mary as their mother.
Also, good point on Rome's contortions in holding Mary's ever-virginity in contrast with their position on child-bearing as a church-builder.
And a neglected Messianic prophecy foretells,
I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother's children. For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me. (Psalms 69:8-9)
I think the distinction is, that a "person" is an entity with a mind and will of its own. Even though they may agree in mind and will, they do so ... "willingly."
LIke when Jesus says, "Not my will but Thine be done," He is agreeing with the Father willingly. It's not as if Jesus and the Father were the same person. They're not.
I can't explain any more than that. It's quite beyond me.
Blessed be God.
Have a good Sunday!
The Book that Rome assembled shows that
1. Jesus called Peter SATAN: Matthew 16:23
2. Peter was CONDEMNED: Galatians 2:11
3. 'CATHOLIC' churches were teaching error: Revelation - Chapters 2&3
4. To call no man FATHER: Matthew 23:9
5. Not to go beyond what was written: 1 Corinthians 4:6
6. Be assured in your SALVATION: 1 John 5:13
7. Mary didn't have much to say when she was human: Luke 1:30-38, Luke 1:46-55, Luke 2:48-50, John 2:3-5
8. And Matthew has recorded the words of Jesus yet one, more, time: Matthew 7:24-27 Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)24 Every one therefore that heareth these my words, and doth them, shall be likened to a wise man that built his house upon a rock,
25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and they beat upon that house, for it was founded on a rock.
26 And every one that heareth these my words, and doth them not, shall be like a foolish man that built his house upon the sand,
27 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and they beat upon that house, and it fell, and great was the fall thereof.
No, Pete: it AIN'T you!
As regards the oft-quoted Mt. 16:18, note the following Early Church Fathers promise in the profession of faith of Vatican 1:
Basil of Seleucia, Oratio 25:
'You are Christ, Son of the living God.'...Now Christ called this confession a rock, and he named the one who confessed it 'Peter,' perceiving the appellation which was suitable to the author of this confession. For this is the solemn rock of religion, this the basis of salvation, this the wall of faith and the foundation of truth: 'For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Christ Jesus.' To whom be glory and power forever. Oratio XXV.4, M.P.G., Vol. 85, Col. 296-297.
Bede, Matthaei Evangelium Expositio, 3:
You are Peter and on this rock from which you have taken your name, that is, on myself, I will build my Church, upon that perfection of faith which you confessed I will build my Church by whose society of confession should anyone deviate although in himself he seems to do great things he does not belong to the building of my Church...Metaphorically it is said to him on this rock, that is, the Saviour which you confessed, the Church is to be built, who granted participation to the faithful confessor of his name. 80Homily 23, M.P.L., Vol. 94, Col. 260. Cited by Karlfried Froehlich, Formen, Footnote #204, p. 156 [unable to verify by me].
Cassiodorus, Psalm 45.5:
'It will not be moved' is said about the Church to which alone that promise has been given: 'You are Peter and upon this rock I shall build my Church and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.' For the Church cannot be moved because it is known to have been founded on that most solid rock, namely, Christ the Lord. Expositions in the Psalms, Volume 1; Volume 51, Psalm 45.5, p. 455
Chrysostom (John) [who affirmed Peter was a rock, but here not the rock in Mt. 16:18]:
Therefore He added this, 'And I say unto thee, Thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church; that is, on the faith of his confession. Chrysostom, Homilies on the Gospel of Saint Matthew, Homily LIIl; Philip Schaff, Nicene and Post-Nicene Fathers (http://www.ccel.org/ccel/schaff/npnf110.iii.LII.html)
Cyril of Alexandria:
When [Peter] wisely and blamelessly confessed his faith to Jesus saying, 'You are Christ, Son of the living God,' Jesus said to divine Peter: 'You are Peter and upon this rock I will build my Church.' Now by the word 'rock', Jesus indicated, I think, the immoveable faith of the disciple.. Cyril Commentary on Isaiah 4.2.
Origen, Commentary on the Gospel of Matthew (Book XII):
For a rock is every disciple of Christ of whom those drank who drank of the spiritual rock which followed them, 1 Corinthians 10:4 and upon every such rock is built every word of the church, and the polity in accordance with it; for in each of the perfect, who have the combination of words and deeds and thoughts which fill up the blessedness, is the church built by God.'
For all bear the surname rock who are the imitators of Christ, that is, of the spiritual rock which followed those who are being saved, that they may drink from it the spiritual draught. But these bear the surname of rock just as Christ does. But also as members of Christ deriving their surname from Him they are called Christians, and from the rock, Peters. Commentary on the Gospel of Matthew (Book XII), sect. 10,11 ( http://www.newadvent.org/fathers/101612.htm)
Hilary of Potier, On the Trinity (Book II):
Thus our one immovable foundation, our one blissful rock of faith, is the confession from Peter's mouth, Thou art the Son of the living God. On it we can base an answer to every objection with which perverted ingenuity or embittered treachery may assail the truth."-- (Hilary of Potier, On the Trinity (Book II), para 23; Philip Schaff, editor, The Nicene & Post Nicene Fathers Series 2, Vol 9.
For this is the solemn rock of religion, this the basis of salvation, this the wall of faith and the foundation of truth: 'For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Christ Jesus.'
You didn't give EMO credit for his words...
25 When they found him on the other side of the lake, they asked him, Rabbi, when did you get here?
26 Jesus answered, Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill. 27 Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.
28 Then they asked him, What must we do to do the works God requires?
29 Jesus answered, The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.
30 So they asked him, What sign then will you give that we may see it and believe you? What will you do? 31 Our ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written: He gave them bread from heaven to eat.[c]
32 Jesus said to them, Very truly I tell you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.
34 Sir, they said, always give us this bread.
35 Then Jesus declared, I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. 36 But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe. 37 All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. 38 For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. 39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. 40 For my Fathers will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.
That was in the BIBLE??

Act Chapter 15...12 The whole assembly became silent as they listened to Barnabas and Paul telling about the signs and wonders God had done among the Gentiles through them. 13 When they finished, James spoke up. "Brothers," he said, "listen to me. 14 Simon has described to us how God first intervened to choose a people for his name from the Gentiles. 15 The words of the prophets are in agreement with this, as it is written:16 "'After this I will return
and rebuild David's fallen tent.
Its ruins I will rebuild,
and I will restore it,
17 that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord,
even all the Gentiles who bear my name,
says the Lord, who does these things'
18 things known from long ago.19 "It is my judgment, therefore, that we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God. 20 Instead we should write to them, telling them to abstain from food polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from the meat of strangled animals and from blood. 21 For the law of Moses has been preached in every city from the earliest times and is read in the synagogues on every Sabbath."
The Council's Letter to Gentile Believers
22 Then the apostles and elders, with the whole church, decided to choose some of their own men and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. They chose Judas (called Barsabbas) and Silas, men who were leaders among the believers. 23 With them they sent the following letter:The apostles and elders, your brothers,
To the Gentile believers in Antioch, Syria and Cilicia:
Greetings.
24 We have heard that some went out from us without our authorization and disturbed you, troubling your minds by what they said. 25 So we all agreed to choose some men and send them to you with our dear friends Barnabas and Paul 26 men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 27 Therefore we are sending Judas and Silas to confirm by word of mouth what we are writing. 28 It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us not to burden you with anything beyond the following requirements: 29 You are to abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality. You will do well to avoid these things.
Farewell.
30 So the men were sent off and went down to Antioch, where they gathered the church together and delivered the letter. 31 The people read it and were glad for its encouraging message. 32 Judas and Silas, who themselves were prophets, said much to encourage and strengthen the believers. 33 After spending some time there, they were sent off by the believers with the blessing of peace to return to those who had sent them. [34] 35 But Paul and Barnabas remained in Antioch, where they and many others taught and preached the word of the Lord.
Had no idea Catholics are taught ...
Well; the One, True church has decided that the 'requirements' in it's FIRST letter were just a wee bit non-controlling.
This error has now been rectified.
But; I could be in error with my assessment of the situation.
Perhaps it was The Holy Spirit that had changed IT'S mind in the matter...
It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us not to burden you with anything beyond the following requirements:
Well; I suppose that THIS verse could be wrangled around to mean...
1 Peter 4:11
If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God.
Mark says he won’t tag-a-long?
I once sang the words of THAT song!
Wifey said, “Gee!”
better agree with ME;
Or your head, by this pan, get’s a BONG!!!”
I'm just SURE that the REAL Hebrew behind this means STEPchildren!!
