Evangelical Apologist Hank Hanegraaff Converts to Eastern Orthodoxy
Posted by: Rob Bowman
On Palm Sunday, April 9, 2017, Hank Hanegraaff formally joined the Orthodox Church. Since 1989 Hanegraaff has been the President of the Christian Research Institute (CRI) and (since ca. 1992) the host of CRIs Bible Answer Man radio program.[1] Hank, his wife Kathy, and two of their twelve children were inducted by a sacramental rite called chrismation into the Orthodox faith at St. Nektarios Greek Orthodox Church in Charlotte, North Carolina, near where CRI is based. In chrismation, a baptized individual is anointed with oil in order to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.[2]

>> “Those powers are no longer given to humans since the completion and closing of the Divine Book, the Bible which is the Word of God. That kind of power is no longer distributed among men.” <<
Drivel !!!!
I can see that such might appear true to one completely spiritually blind as your posting history would indicate, but there are still men with great spiritual gifts operating in this world.
If there was a closing of the word, it would have to have been the Tanakh, but even that is not so. Yehova is still sending men to speak his truth and to write it.
Have you ever met Henry Gruber? Wherever Henry goes grand miracles play out, all over the world. There are many more like him, and will be until the moment that Yeshua comes to gather his bride.
Unfortunate that you haven’t experienced the Holy Spirit’s present day apostles. It is a distinct privilege that gives worth to every minute of life.
.
.
You’re in a complete spiritual vacuum!
.
A I noted previously, the Gospel isn't meant to be complicated.
That's the way He went into Heaven from Earth, and it's the way He is coming back:
Revelation 19:11-16 KJBOnline
11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
======
That is when He's coming back FOR His saints; and seven years later He'll return WITH His saints, His Bride the True Constituents of His Church.
He is the one creature in Heaven with a Real Body, complete and not pieced out in Frito-bits.
How about them apples, MDO?
Just to skim it takes a book of rules bigger than the Bible itself.
Exodus 20:4-6 You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.
The pictures posted on FR by us non-Catholics demonstrate that Catholics ignore and blatantly disobey the second commandment.
I'm not even getting into the hair splitting over words and shades of meaning as the second commandment doesn't say not to worship them and I'm sure God is well aware of mankind's propensity to be sticklers for legalism, like a bunch of two year olds.
So instead of giving people the opportunity to hair split definitions and deny the obvious, that they are indeed worshiping Mary, God puts it in terms that are much harder to weasel out of.
SHALL NOT BOW DOWN TO..... only needs *interpretation* by those who want to change it's meaning so they can think they are getting away with pulling one over on God by appealing to a legal technicality.
I'm sure God's not buying it.
Come back and tell me when you finish, but this article is about Greek Orthodoxy, and Hank Hanegraaff, and whether you get spiritualized by applying a lubricant. You missed the last graphite lube a little over forty days ago, eh? Have you ever met Henry Gruber?
Did you mean Henry Gruber? Unless you're wanting to talk about baseball . . .
Well you've thrown us a long, slow curve. Now for the fast break:
Unfortunate that you havent experienced the Holy Spirits present day apostles. It is a distinct privilege that gives worth to every minute of life.
Trying to hijack the thread again, aren't you? I'm not buying your irrational philosophy, ES.
Bye.
.
I can't hear you . . .

>> “Go lay your hands on your car and fill it up with gas without a pump nozzle in your hands.” <<
About what anyone that has experienced your posts would expect from you.
Discussing the gospel of the Kingdom with you is much like discussing renaissance art with the man born blind.
.
Got in a rush. Gruver.

Spoken by the master!

Henry Gruber doesn’t play baseball.
He is a walking conduit for the power of the Holy Spirit, wherever he goes.
Keep on mocking; that’s all you have.
.
“I’m not even getting into the hair splitting over words and shades of meaning...”
No, you’ll post falsehood accusations and innuendos while ignoring any relevant rejoinder. It’s what you do.
There’s a river in Egypt that describes Roman Catholics and their denial of worshipping Mary: De Nile!
Thanks for the compliment. Doggone, you're still trying to hijack the thread away from the Spirit being transferred whith a sticky fingerprint.
But your answer regarding the Renaissance art chart of the two kingdoms and their schedules. You did know there were two Kingdoms, right?
The Kingdom of Heaven and the Kingdom of God from The Happy Heralds
(I'm one. I specialize in kerusso, if you want the Greek)
.
Charts by the blind!
This could catch on.
********
I'm done with you an this attempt to steal home base without touching first, second, or third.
Christianity condemns both as idol worship.
I appreciate that and I will. I truly hope and continue to pray that the constant acrimony on these threads subsides and genuine Christ-like love takes its place.
