He says nothing about “remarriage” in that verse. That just you reading your errors back into Scripture.

A first marriage or remarriage after the death of a spouse is not sin, nor is it the topic of the thread. The topic is divorce and remarriage while a spouse is still living.

And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.
