That could get really sticky, really bad, if something like that was done in a child abuse situation.

I was caught with an ounce of dope in my locker in HS. My principal "dealt with me" instead of calling in the narc squad.
Why assume that calling in the cops is the thing to do? Most kids are not exactly Tony Montana and should not be treated like they are.
