Even after Judas betrayed Jesus, I think the door was still open for repentance, and yes, Jesus would have welcomed him back.

But Jesus didn’t say WHY he perished.

Could not scripture been fulfilled and Judas STILL have been saved? After all; Jesus was already in the hands of the authorities before Judas KILLED HIMSELF.
