Pope Francis has declared that all actions taken by the head of the Order of Malta and its governing council since the dismissal of Albrecht von Boeselager last month are null and void, including the election of Boeselagers replacement.
The Pope ordered [Fra Festing] to write his resignation letter on the spot, according to informed sources.
.the Pope then had Fra Festing include in his letter of resignation that the Grand Master had asked for Boeselager's dismissal under the influence of Cardinal Raymond Burke
If the Grand Master was pressured to resign, some
are speculating about the validity of his resignation as it was demanded immediately without giving him time to consider
They...are concerned it heralds a future purge of the Order.

Obviously, The Evil PopeTM is going to try to go after Cardinal Burke this way. The Smoke of Satan, indeed.
Bergoglio overthrew a sitting pope; destroying the Order of Malta won’t even break him a sweat.
Can someone translate for a poor sinning Lutheran what this all means? As an outsider it looks like the Pope has run off the rails and into the weeds.
The Order of Malta is 900 years old...since when do Catholics allow Freemasons into the Malta???
I think that is what this is all about, Cardinal Burke is a Freemason and shouldn’t be in the Malta...
Time for a bell, book and candle for Francis.
He removed Pope Benedict?
I encourage all members of the Order of Malta to withhold all financial funding to that organization.
I also encourage all other Catholics to withhold funding to Catholic Relief Services, Catholic Charities and Peter’s Pence, until we get a Catholic pope.
Paging your Nullness.
Cardinal Burke served as the Bishop of the Dioceses of La Crosse, Wisconsin. He is an intellectually honest man who seeks the truth and serves God’s will. The fact he is on the wrong side of the Pope says more about the Pope than about Cardinal Burke. Cardinal Burke embraces the Word of God. The Pope appears to put ideology above his faith.
Why doesn’t the Evil Clown try to annex Cuba or North Korea next?
my understanding is that the Pope lacks any such authority
Agree with your post 7.
Did you get that from the OP?
The faithful Catholics turned their cheek and are willing to die for their Faith in God.
I overheard a conversation today, and two people were talking about this situation with the Malta, and this was mentioned, I thought maybe someone here might know something about it...
“The Pope appears to put ideology above his faith.”

I think Bergoglio has been putting his ideology and faith first for a long time, and I don’t think his faith is Catholic.
Politics in the church.
Tell him to go to hell. He doesn’t have the authority.
Per Vatican I:
If anyone thus speaks, that the Roman Pontiff has only the office of inspection or direction, but not the full and supreme power of jurisdiction over the universal Church, not only in things which pertain to faith and morals, but also in those which pertain to the discipline and government of the Church spread over the whole world; or, that he possesses only the more important parts, but not the whole plenitude of this supreme power; or that this power of his is not ordinary and immediate, or over the churches altogether and individually, and over the pastors and the faithful altogether and individually: let him be anathema.
Yep, he has "invaded" the smallest sovereignty on the face of the earth -- the Order of Malta (not the island of Malta) -- which he has spiritual jurisdiction over, but not governmental. He has demanded the resignation of the head of the Order of Malta (Festing), reversed a governmental decision made by that head, and is going to install a "papal delegate" temporarily as the new head. Per international law, the whole thing's illegal as hell.
