These are interesting times in the Church.
Interesting how the opponents of the dubia resort to lies such as the implication that the dubia "attacks" Amoris Laetitia.
And four Evangelists wrote the Gospels.
"And the city lieth in a foursquare, and the length thereof is as great as the breadth: and he measured the city with the golden reed for twelve thousand furlongs, and the length and the height and the breadth thereof are equal." (Rev 21:16)
Cardinal Cláudio Hummes appears to be scoffing.
"Knowing this first, that in the last days there shall come deceitful scoffers, walking after their own lusts" (2 Peter 3:3)
In the end I’m afraid all but the 4 are going to side with Francis.
This is about power, money, influence. About attracting divorced Catholics back to the pews (and the collection basket), and shoring up the Church’s political influence in Western countries.
The same reasons the U.S. Bishops want open borders.
The vast majority of Cardinals are not onboard with Benedict’s vision of a “smaller, poorer, holier Church”.
This whole issue would be settled if the Pope would answer the four yes/no questions. But it would take a lot of humility to do that.
So far we have seen pages and pages of "talk" around the questions and those who asked them.
It makes me very uncomfortable to see such unjustified turmoil.
Acts 23:2 The high priest Ananias* ordered his attendants to strike his mouth.
Sandro Magister is doing yeoman’s work.
