SAN DIEGO, California, November 30, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) San Diego Bishop Robert McElroy ordered a pastor to cease publishing columns in his church's weekly bulletin after the priest wrote in support of the Catholic Church's teaching on intrinsic evils and took strong stands on matters of prudential judgment within Catholic teaching.
Father Richard Perozich of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church first came under fire this fall when inserts appeared in his parish bulletin that said it's a "mortal sin" to vote for pro-abortion Democrats. The fliers pointed out the Democratic Partys official support for such intrinsic evils and warned Catholics they put their souls at risk by voting for Democrats. The Diocese of San Diego decried the fliers, which Perozich hadn't authorized.
Then, Perozich penned a column of his own on Catholic voting. He reminded his parishioners of the Church's teaching on intrinsic evils and opined on matters of prudential judgment within Catholic teaching.
McElroy responded by releasing a statement saying, "it is contrary to the Catholic faith" to view gun control regulation as a form of slavery and accusing Perozich of "fan[ning] the flames of hatred against Muslims or any religious group."

When speaking the truth is a radical act then your living in a tyranny.
Why don’t they (and most Protestant denominations too) just go ahead and admit they are now worshipers of BAAL.
Has the leadership of the Catholic church almost completely gone over to Satan?
The best thing for anyone to do is to find a Bible believing church that gets its orders directly from HEADQUARTERS. . .THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. If your church is not abiding fully by the scriptures. . .look elsewhere! Even if it means leaving family behind. . .they may just follow!
Amen, MAUDEEN.
Since the Catholic Church was founded by Jesus: no.
However, please don't expect priests, friars, brothers, monks and nuns to be perfect and sinless. They are the same sinners that we all are.
They have just dedicated their entire adult lives to the work of Jesus: missionaries, orphanages, farming, baptisms, holy communions, confirmations, ordinations, hospitals, hospices, schools, churches, homes for unwed mothers, homes for the dying and so on.
It's a massive world-wide organization for human care, founded by Jesus.
I don't know of any other Christian, non-Catholic faith that has that kind of dedication and their own of clergy. Do you?
AND, you do know that if some Protestant minister does something bad it doesn't become world-wide news...because NO ONE CARES. Those who would want to "do their own thing" and resent the "straight and narrow" that we are urged to live on loathe, detest, abhor and hate the Catholic Church.
*How could all those Hollyweirdo live?
**How would all those living-in-sin (living together without marriage) feel good about themselves?
***How would all those on drugs and too much alcohol reconcile themselves to the word of God?
****How would all those same-gender "couples" live without being "married" to each other?
Those who would TOSS the ten commandments have made themselves the only arbiter of right and wrong. God and His laws (NOT the ten "suggestions") are meaningless to them. They are their own "god."
Boy, are they in for a surprise when their DAY OF RECKONING comes upon them. They will have to stand before their Maker and be judged...for ETERNITY.

Won't be pretty.
People, and rightfully so, get very emotional about the pro-life issue. I say that in that, I had an experience where it really appeared a clergy member toned down his rhetoric. Though I have no proof, I believe he must have gotten orders from higher up to do so.
This is just wrong. Support for Fr. Perozich here.
The SDiego Bishop sounds as bad as Cupich.
If I lived in San Diego I would be attending Father Richard Perozich’s parish.
God bless him for speaking the truth.
We’re never taught that clergy (including bishops, cardinals, or Popes) are perfect; I always bear in mind that Judas was a priest.
Judas was technically a Bishop.
True; even more reason to view today’s Church hierarchy as imperfect people.
