Hello fellow FREEPer prayer warriors and believers!
This evening, we got an email from our employer that portends some very bad news.
To put it simply, one of the adults in the household is highly likely to be facing reduced (perhaps down to zero) income in the very near future. We use this income for, as you can imagine, to pay essential bills.
We care for an elderly relative, living at home, who has dementia. And we care for a youngster in college.
Essentially this is, dare I say:
Not good.
So, God is greater than all of this and He is not taken by surprise, right? He is sovereign over all of these things.
I humbly, very humbly, ask you to pray for us once or twice or more if you can, asking Jesus to be with us and to help us cope. Ask for a new stream of income/job that will help us pay the bills.
We have begun in earnest already cutting our expenses. Sadly, some of this is in the form of charitable contributions we make monthly.
Some of it is expendable monies, too, of course. But we really aren't too foolish in our spending, at least in my opinion.
But I ramble. We will also need God's strength to explain this situation to the child.
Thank you in advance for your prayers. God bless.
My FRiends, today is December 7. For a month and a half we have been working and wondering and praying and planning and searching.
Tomorrow is a critical day, and I ask you to pray for us tomorrow...or tonight....or both.
The Reader’s Digest version of the last few weeks has been this: the boss has become increasingly unreasonable. The situation has removed so much joy from what was once a reasonable job. We have been responsible and trustworthy, and now we are being treated as traitors.
Either way, we are calling for a meeting with the company’s owners. We will be giving our notice, leaving in God’s hands whether they decide to ask us to stay on, seeing that a very worthwhile and caring employee has finally had enough of the abuse. We will be surprised if we are asked to stay.
Our family knows this may mean struggles. We gathered in our living room, held hands, and prayed for the coming storm. We believe He will be with us regardless of the circumstances.
At any rate, please pray. It may be that the boss repents and wants us to stay. Or, this may have been their end game all along—trying to get us to leave so that they can go their own way.
We covet your prayers during this time. We are meeting the boss at 1:00 pm tomorrow afternoon. Will update you.
God bless you, and thank you.

God bless you, I covet your prayers.
You got ‘em. Praying for y’all.
Prayers.
Thanks for sharing and so sorry that it has come to this. I pray that reason prevails and your employment continues and the situation improves or that you find another job. God’s will be done.
I pray for Freepers everyday, and will add an extra special prayer for you. Good luck and God Bless.
prayers said.
Praying from here.
Praying with you....
Prayers.
Praying now.
I will be praying for you and your family as you go through this decision. My prayer is that you will be strengthened, encouraged and peaceful as you place this heavy burden before the Lord and then that you will rest in knowing that He cares for you and you can come boldly unto the throne of grace, obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. He knows what you need and He will provide - I’ve seen it happen many many times.
I will also be praying for the hearts and minds of your boss and business owners to be softened towards you and, if it is God’s will that you remain with them, that they change their actions and attitudes and recognize the value you are to them and how foolish they would be to lose you. For whatever your boss is going through, I will also pray that he realizes his unreasonableness and the damage he causes to the business and his own self worth and reputation and the Lord convicts him of it.
Finally, as I have experienced many times, when the Lord closes one door He opens another and if it is His will that you do leave, He will have something much better for you. It’s awful going to work and being abused and it stealing your joy. You will know what the right choice is tomorrow. Do not be discouraged, do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is WITH you wherever you go.
prayers up.
Joshua 1:9. Amen.
Yep! And He gives that promise to ALL His own. It’s late so I hope you turn off the ‘puter, kiss your loved ones goodnight and go get in bed confident that your cares are in the Lord’s hands now. Have a sweet and peaceful sleep and wake up in the morning refreshed, rested and at peace with whatever the day brings.
Will pray.
Sending prayers your way
