Praying for you and your family, Dear SoFloFreeper, in Jesus name.
I went through something very similar 5 years ago in So Fla, and i am not out of the woods yet, but the prayers of my Beloved fellow FReepers has done a lot to help sustain me.

Father God,
We thank You for Your Word, that is our mainstay in good times and bad.
We thank You for your abundant provision for us in all ways, natural and supernatural.
We praise Your Holy Name and all Your works of grace, mercy and beneficence.
Today we lift up to you SoFloFreeper and family for Your special attention.
Your Word says You have plans to prosper them and not to harm them, plans to give them hope and a future.
May they experience Your peace through the mysterious outworking of Your plan, always heeding the promptings of the Holy Spirit and never giving up faith in You.
We pray especially for the student and the elder who depend upon this couple, that You would work within their hearts to help their understanding and cooperation with any new situation.
Bring opportunities, provision, Christian helpers and joy, we pray, O Bountiful Father,

My heart is filled with gratitude to our Lord and Saviour for working through your prayers and concerns. Truly.
Not much to report yet, though I hope you’ll keep us in mind. We are working and praying and thinking and learning to lean. :)

You are HEALER, GREAT PHYSICIAN. Nothing is impossible with you.
We lift up TERRY MROSS’ sister’s son-in-law to You in prayer. We speak to the affected areas of the stroke and command the body to “Come Alive” in the name of JESUS.
May HOLY SPIRIT flow through every cell of this man’s body, restoring heart valves, arteries, removing plaque. We believe in MIRACLES! By JESUS’ stripes we were healed.
Be with the doctors, nurses, and therapists. Give them wisdom on how to deal with the stroke. Bind all fear in the family and may they look to You, knowing that You are in control of their situation.
FATHER GOD, send ministering angels to stand guard around this man. Fill the room with Your peace and rest.
We give You all praise and glory.

Hello SoFloFreeper, Sending prayers again to Heaven on your behalf. Stay strong in your faith. I know that is easy to say when everything is good and the income is steady. But I speak from experience. And I can report that God was so faithful to us and met our needs in amazing ways during our experience of major job loss and transition. Between the two of us, we had about 6 part time jobs until the rough times were over. We received a number of anonymous gifts during that time. We were never hungry, and all of our bills got paid. I don’t ever want to go through a time like that again, but I can tell you that the entire experience was a blessing in disguise and a testimony of God’s goodness and faithful to those who trust in Him.
