Lord, we pray that You will be with our military men and women in this dangerous world. Keep them safe, and help them to choose well in the face of doubt and temptation.
LORD, we pray that You will help us to love You until the one thing we ask of You is to dwell in Your house all the days of our lives, to gaze upon Your beauty and to seek You in Your temple. Help us to trust in You until even though an army besiege us, our hearts will not fear, and though war breaks out against us, even then will we be confident. LORD, You are our light and our salvation – whom shall we fear? You are the stronghold of our lives – of whom shall we be afraid? Help us to receive our inheritance, for it is in the Name of Christ – who died for us and now lives forever and ever – that we pray, Amen.
