You may have one you may have many, the more the merrier!
If there was any a time in the history of these United States, where the preserved word of God, is
sorely needed, it is in these days. This thread is not intended to be a place where all the KJV
critics come to debate on why they don't believe Almighty God can preserve his word, (If you don't
believe God can preserve His own word for all eternity, then how can you possible believe He can preserve
your soul for all eternity?) instead this thread is intended to be a place where people who still believe:
Psalm 12:6
The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnance of earth, purified seven times.
can come and post their favorite KJV Bible verses, no commentary needed, but if you want to give a testimony
as to why a particular verse is one of your favorites, please do so.
Thank you for the link though. The page itself was a quick load.
FRegards ....
Praise the Lord!
Philippians 3:9
And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith.
1 Samuel 16:7
But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.
Amos 3:7
Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
2 Timothy 1:9
Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
Yeah I like that one a lot.
Thanks for posting it.
A lot of people say they love God with all of their hearts [one of the Two New Testament commandments], but I have to say — not many really do.
I used to think it was impossible, the reason why we need to be cleansed by the Blood.
There are moments I love God with all of my heart, but who can honestly do that all the time?
2 Corinthians 12:9
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee:for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Thank you. That’s a comfort.
One scripture haunts me ... that most will fail.
Most won’t enter heaven?
Revelation 21:4
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Truly the only ones who "fail" are those who quit believing or who never believed God's word.
Many old Testament saints lived lives contrary to God's Word, but never stopped believing God's word, they were chastised by God, but still entered heaven. Others like Saul, will not be in heaven, because he stopped believing God's word.
God does not require us to understand everything in His word to go to heaven, He only requires us to believe His word to go to heaven. Jesus told those Jews who believed on Him:
John 8:31
Then Jesus said to those Jews which believed on him,if ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed.
If you don't stop believing God's preserved word, you're His, and nothing can change that.
(Titus 2:13) Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
Might have found it, but the seach engines are too clogged ...
Matt 7.14 ...
[straight and narrow path] “and few will find it”.
Bring on that Blessed Hope!!!
Isaiah 50:9
9 Behold, the Lord GOD will help me; who is he that shall condemn me? lo, they all shall wax old as a garment; the moth shall eat them up.
Proverbs 10:13
In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.
Proverbs 10:23
It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.
Isaiah 64:4
For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him
Thank you. I did not know that. I remember the first time I read 1 Cor. 2:9, and how it leaped from the page straight to my heart. What a beautiful, uplifting, hopeful, encouraging passage.
Praise the Lord!
