You may have one you may have many, the more the merrier!
If there was any a time in the history of these United States, where the preserved word of God, is
sorely needed, it is in these days. This thread is not intended to be a place where all the KJV
critics come to debate on why they don't believe Almighty God can preserve his word, (If you don't
believe God can preserve His own word for all eternity, then how can you possible believe He can preserve
your soul for all eternity?) instead this thread is intended to be a place where people who still believe:
Psalm 12:6
The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnance of earth, purified seven times.
can come and post their favorite KJV Bible verses, no commentary needed, but if you want to give a testimony
as to why a particular verse is one of your favorites, please do so.
Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord.
And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
Acts 2:36-38 (KJV)
Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
I agree. What Paul does in this verse, is give the believer a clear picture of who he, in reality, now is....and how we got there. I need to remind myself that the sin filled old me is up on that cross too....and I need to be about the business of walking in the newness of the eternal life, which is actually now my possession. The flesh is and will always be a pain. But the real, new, me is IN Christ....and The Holy Spirit is in me....helping my walk.
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Thank you for posting that. I say that verse every night.
And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
Romans 8:38-39
38 - For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 - Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The entirety of I Corinthians 15.
“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
I cannot read those verses without singing it in my head....

1 John 3:18 “My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.”
2 Esdras 1:8
Pull thou off then the haire of thy head, and cast all euill vpon them, for they haue not beene obedient vnto my law, but it is a rebellious people.

These too:
Isaiah 54:13-14 - All thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children.
In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come nigh thee.
I have never seen that before! You need to read your bible more carefully. Here is the actual verse...
5:7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Galatians 6:7 |
You took mine. John 11:35.
Jesus was going to Lazarus’s tomb. When Jesus saw the tomb, he wept.
It shows the humanity of Christ, and of God Himself. It says everything in two simple, poignant words.
Along that line:
2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
1 Peter 5:8 King James Version (KJV)
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:”
I like this translation because it says “seeking WHOM he may devour.
The devil is “specifically” looking for that individual who is likely weak in their faith and can be swayed to the side of the devil.
Do not be THAT person. Do not LET the devil devour you. Be STRONG in your faith and the devil can not devour you.
He will see your strength and pass you by, looking for that person he CAN devour.
