Like congress has the tool of appropriations, the Vatican has excommunication. Use your weapons or it will continue.

Too bad the priest skipped school the day the seminary taught Catholicism. If the seminary did its instructional duty, that is.

The response, or non-response, of the Church hierarchy will tell you all you need to know about its legitimacy.

"Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie—behold, I will make them come and bow down before your feet, and they will learn that I have loved you." Rev. 3:9

Just as there are Jews who call themselves Jews but are not, the same holds for Christian priests and laypeople who call themselves Christian but are not---they are liars of the church of Satan.

Matt. 7:16: New International Version By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?

Ugh. The priest should be defrocked for that. Or at the very least, suspended and properly taught Church and natural law.

Hey, who is he to judge? Now if it was a lesbian couple who denied Global Warming, that would be a different story.

A little secret about the Spanish Inquisition was that Spain had become a moral cesspool, with some priests openly engaging in profane acts. Paganism had returned with a vengeance, the average Catholic was horrified by it all. And the Royal Inquisition was toothless and even participated in some of it.

So it was the people of Spain, the poor and many of the well to do, who begged Rome to use the Holy Office to keep their nation from damnation.

I approve of a blessing for those “relationships” only in the sense that there can be no greater blessing than to get back in line with God’s word. I hope all gay “relationships” will be blessed in that sense - and terminated so those who have gone astray can again follow the true blessing of scripture.

If he blessed their union then he should be taken to the woodshed by the church do to violating church doctrine.

If he blessed them as human beings I am all for it.

"I hope that the church will one day bless homosexual relationships," said the priest.
Will he hope that one day the church blesses adulterers, murderers and liars too? The Italian word schifoso is the first thing that comes to mind.

The Beauty of Intolerance, a Book Review
http://hub.me/akFDw

How to stand up to a relativistic moral culture where feeling good is seen as the definition of good, when Christianity defines divinely set moral standards that prevent pain and suffering. How to navigate a culture that defines tolerance as endorsement and is intolerant of Christianity.
