Pope Francis to Canonize Hillary Clinton Nemesis Mother Teresa
Breitbart ^ | 28 Aug 2016 | Thomas D. Williams

Posted on 08/28/2016 6:29:15 PM PDT by Mrs. Don-o

Next Sunday Pope Francis will declare Mother Teresa a saint, the very woman who fought Hillary Clinton tooth and nail for her abortion advocacy.

Before some 3,000 people at the National Prayer Breakfast at the Washington DC Hilton Hotel in 1994—including pro-abortion Bill and Hillary Clinton, and Al and Tipper Gore—Mother Teresa spoke passionately about abortion, calling it the “greatest destroyer of peace today,” “war against the child,” and “murder by the mother herself.”

“And if we accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another?” the nun continued.

“By abortion, the mother does not learn to love, but kills even her own child to solve her problems,” she said. “Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love, but to use any violence to get what they want. This is why the greatest destroyer of love and peace is abortion.”

The swelling applause swept across the room, erupting into a standing ovation that lasted some five or six minutes.

The room was awash with clapping, with one conspicuous exception. At the head table, a few feet away from Mother Teresa, the Clintons and the Gores sat in stony silence, not clapping, not standing.

[snip]

In a 1986 article titled “Mother Teresa, the Woman of My Nightmares,” a West Germany affiliate of Planned Parenthood ... wrote in an official publication, Sexualpedagogik:

“You, you nightmare of women! [have] become for us the symbol of all that is bad in motherhood and womanhood, an image with which we do not wish to be associated. You unliberated, enslaved wives, mothers, nuns and aunts, what do you want from us, who have finally decided that we are going to take control of our bodies?” the Planned Parenthood essay ran.

I had thought she was already canonized, too. Actually, what I was thinking of was her being beatified. Then the second miracle was graciously done by God in connection with her intercession --- and thus, now, canonization.

It was a mechanical engineer in Santos, Brazil who was on the point of death from multiple brain abscesses which were not responding to treatment. His wife (and, at her urgent request, many others). asked Mother T to pray for him in heaven.

Intercession3, as it were.

Man wakes up on operating table before the scheduled surgery, no pain, no abscesses, sits up and says to the doctor, "Hey! What am I doing here?"

Read all about it Mother T's second miracle

I don't know! I've wondered similaly about Padre Pio (Saint Padre Pio? Padre St. Pio?) of Pietrelcino.

Likewise Pope St. John Paul II (Saint Pope John Paul II?) --- but I just call him, with respect and affection, "St. Lolek the Mensch"

Instant replay of me reading the headline: Pope Francis to Canonize Hillary Clinton

That's what I read in the sidebar. LOL

This Pope? Yeah, believeable.

I'm delighted, however, to see not only were we wrong but that Francis did something excellent!

Good morning, dear aMPU!

"Francis doesn't know and can't declare her one"

Speaking in terms of unaided human knowledge, you are perfectly and exactly correct.

None of us would have any way to know for sure, were it not for God providing a sign from heaven. #43 --- check thou it out.

Actually, we believe she's a saint because of what He did.

Don't you think Mother T. knew that?

Dear friend,

There is one thing alone that makes one a saint - and it is not miracles - or the Egyptian magicians who replicated Moses' signs would also qualify as saints.

That one thing makes every believer a saint from the moment of believing faith. It is entrusting yourself to Christ and His sacrifice alone - with no self-effort, miracles, works, etc.

His Righteousness is transferred immediately to the entrusting believer at the moment of salvation. What the new believer's self-efforts could not do to earn righteousness no longer matters. God imputes the righteousness of Christ, baptizes them into the Body of Christ and gives them eternal life. From that moment, they are God's Holy Ones.

If the believer now has the life of Christ in them, it will be expressed in the quality of life they lead. To the degree they live a life of good works, they will be rewarded when believers go before the throne - or they will suffer loss, though they themselves will be saved.

To teach otherwise is to add to Scripture.

I dearly hope and wish that Teresa had entrusted herself to Christ alone for salvation before her death and truly was a saint. If she did not, there are no number of works, miracles, prayers nor declarations that can ever make here one now.

"Well you are the first Catholic I’ve ever encountered who says, perhaps unwittingly, that a person is made a saint by God’s will, which is precisely what Scripture teaches. "

Colt my friend, you will be thrilled to know that the following is the Mass reading for September 8, the Birthday of Our Lady. Notice how it all pertains to God's magnificent gifts to His servants and handmaids, including--- among others ---- His own mother, Mary:

Romans 7:28-30

We know that all things work for good
for those who love God,
who are called according to his purpose.
For those he foreknew he also predestined
to be conformed to the image of his Son,
so that he might be the firstborn
among many brothers.
And those he predestined he also called;
and those he called he also justified;
and those he justified he also glorified.

Called - foreknew - predestined - conformed - justified - glorified

Mother Mary. And Mother Teresa, too.

All of the saved.

This has been part of Catholic teaching literally from the day it was written.

"It is finished" --- YES! Our redemption in Christ's blood was secured by His sacrifice, once and for all --- for all who would be saved. And those who would be saved were not all those who said "Lord, Lord" and not hearers of His word only, but doers. Doers who persisted to the end.

If not, then all that stuff St. Paul said about "finishing the race," and "If anyone thinks he stand, let him take heed lest he fall" was kind of irrelevant blather. And Jesus had no real warning or admonition in mind for us when He said,

Matthew 10:22
But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

Matthew 24:13
But the person who endures to the end will be saved.

Mark 13:13

You will be hated by everyone because of my name. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

In fact, all commandments, all warning, all admonitions, all encouragements to "hold fast" are a mockery, pure nonsense, if in the end our willing cooperation means nothing.

Of course, everyone who is a saint, is a saint because of a miracle: a miracle of God's grace.

But Good also has the power to send signs --- like curing a dying man --- to communicate His favor. You think He does not?

Or do you really thing Satan would cure a dying man, because the man's family engaged the whole Body of Christ in intercessory prayer?

Romans 7:28-30 is one of my favorite passages in the Bible and it cuts against so much Catholic teaching. For instance, why would anyone included in that passage (the elect) need Purgatory?

So often it isn’t that Rome denies a truth, it’s that she adds to it and renders it meaningless.

I think you're missing a whole lot of context.

"For instance, why would anyone included in that passage (the elect) need Purgatory?"

1 Corinthians 3:15
If someone’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss. He himself will be saved, but only as through fire.

Matthew 5:26
I tell you the truth, you will never get out of there until you have paid the last penny!

Clearly indicates a soul going "somewhere" where there is obvious suffering and punishment, but not eternally: Christ clearly indicates that he will be released when his base, unworthy works are "burned up" or when he "pays the last penny".

I guess Jesus thought it was worth repeating:

Luke 12:59
I tell you, you will not get out of there until you have paid the very last cent!”

All as He foreknows, of course.

Denying the eternal significance of human response renders the whole Bible meaningless.
