Protestants. But then Pope Francis seems to be sidling over to it, too.
It was sarcasm
What God’s Word actually says:
“But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for Gods holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy personsuch a person is an idolaterhas any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things Gods wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them.” (Ephesians 5:3-7)
Why not have a mutually pleasurable and affirming orgy party every couple of weeks, church-sponsored? No married participants, of course, that would be wrong.
Rhere's nothing like going to a church where a number of members were once affirming sexual partners when you were single, eh? Nice story to share with your kids, hm?
Of course, to make this single thing work, there'd have to be 100% contraception involved, wouldn't there? Otherwise . . .
And no falling in or out of love, right? That would not be affirming. Just nice, no strings-attached friendly pleasurable conjoining with no lasting regrets, eh?
And on, and on, and on . . .

What I say to her is, "It ain't gonna work, Pastorette. You're not a representative of the God in my Bible, Bromleigh."
I wasn't saved until I was 50 despite having grown up in the Catholic Church. God allowed me to stray for many years before He reached out and touched my heart during a nondenominational service.
I guess the huge lapse helps me realize just who and what I am and puts me right in the "Poor in spirit" category - I have no allusion/delusions that i could ever be worthy without His loving sacrifice.
God Bless.
So that makes it OK to come up with a false teaching?
No - it just points out the hypocrisy of those ashing up their clothing and flaying their own backs in public while being part of the den of sin they rail against...until no one is looking.....
I don’t know that calling a sin a sin, even if it is something you may have been involved with 20, 30 years ago makes you a hypocrite.
What makes me a hypocrite is calling berating fellow sinners if I am unrepentant of a sin in the here and now.
Paul, before he was justified, was a murderer but still spoke out against murder.
She’s talking about wanking, right?
Ride it, gal! Yeee-HAW!
“...the Rev. Bromleigh McCleneghan, a married mother of three and associate pastor for ministry with families ...”
Can we all agree that the problem is here revealed in the first sentence?
I think, when one is with one’s soulmate (Chassids believe Hashem separated one soul into two parts: man and woman), the sex is astounding. Chassidic Jews never write about sex, which is why they don’t talk about it. I guess that’s why Rabbi Schmuley Boteach left Chabad.
Thank Hashem I’m not the only one who doesn’t know.
It’s not a rainbow - only 6 stripes. Needs another name. Quasibow?
Looked it up: State strongly. Definition 1.
I think if it is not affirming, you get a prescription for viagra?
I'll bet there's a whole lotta unionizing goin' on in her congregation!

Understood, I just find it interesting at the way many go about it - they act as if they have been personally slapped in the face by the sins/wrongdoings of others.
Paul, even though he had met the risen Jesus and then been chosen to be a major purveyor of the Word, also lamented that he found that he kept doing that which he would not do (sinful acts/thoughts) and not doing a lot of the good that he knew he should do - he recognized that his own sinful nature was alive and well - many here often sound as if they are oblivious of their own faults.
At any rate, I am not sure if the Bible calls premarital sex a sin. It tells us not to be sexually impure, but does it actually call it a sin? I suppose it might consider it a "wedding ceremony" if one was to be "as correct as possible".
so looking at a woman with lust is a sin, but having sex with her is not.
Got it.
