However she misses the point of why sex outside of marriage is sinful. The two are made one flesh. There is a connection that people make when they have sex that is profound and deep and is not appropriate for people who are not in a life long committed relationship, i.e. married.
"Affirming" has become one of those warm and fuzzy words that basically means "abandon you principles".

People also forget or never knew what sin is. They think it means doing evil things when it means missing the mark, not hitting the bullseye.
