The Gospel of Jesus Christ disagrees with the Roman Catholic church.
History proves that an error. The Roman Church determined the Canon very early on and began interpreting them also. All non-Catholic Christian denominations and many non Roman Catholic religions split off from that early Church, which still survives.
The rcc determined their canon at Trent did it not?
History proves a LOT of stuff!
Islam determined it's Canon very early on and began arguing about them also. All Sunni denominations and many Shiite denominations split off from that early religion, which still survives.
Funny how longevity proves nothing about correctness.
History does not prove the Roman church to be directly traced to Peter. Until 1053 or so, there was one *catholic* church.
The Roman church insisted on taking the primacy and the Eastern church refused to recognize the claim of the then pope to be head of all the churches.

Romans claim to being the OTC, falls very flat.
Wrong, as while most of Scripture was established as being so before there was a church of Rome which presumed it was essential for this, and the NT saw general establishment by the 3rd century due to their Heavenly qualities and attestation, yet (as often substantiated here), scholarly doubts and disagreements continued down the centuries and right into Trent, which provided the first indisputable/"infallible" complete canon for RCs - after the death of Luther, who had freedom for his opinions on this (whose non-binding Protestantism did not wholly follow, but who included apocryphal books in a separate section, as per an ancient custom).
