Piety, a work, doesn't save else the Pharisees would have been Jesus' target of praise instead of what He said of them. God has already 'found the way'.

Jews are an almost eternally faithful to God people going back as long as we could regarding humanity.
In the end I think God will not let them go. I am one Christian who believes the Jews will be just fine.
