Scripture teaches that Jesus is God incarnate and Mary is his mother. That’s it! That’s all I am saying. That is what the title implies. Nothing more.

And yet; in all of the Scriptures; the 'title' Mother of GOD is NEVER used.

This is all that I am saying.

**And yet; in all of the Scriptures; the ‘title’ Mother of GOD is NEVER used.**

Neither is the phrase “God the Son” found in scripture. I think that the Lord, his apostles, and even the devil and his demons understood that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, not God the Son.

That said, I still find the imaginative, ‘look ma, no hands’, painting at the beginning of the thread, to still be worthy of a rolling of the eyes.

These Mary threads always remind me of the smashing Mary vid I saw on this forum a year or so ago. It’s the video of men carrying the statue of Mary on their shoulders, during a worship service, which was clumsily dropped (thanks to the one guy trying to show off by changing shoulders without using his hands. Maybe he was trying to impress the chicks sitting in the pews)
