The trouble (with your opinion) is, that it doesn’t fully portray Jesus Christ as Isaiah (and other prophets) portray him. David wasn’t born of a virgin. David was never given all power and authority in heaven and earth (Is. 9:6, for example).

The Messiah is a man after God's own heart, just like his father David. It was a comment on his character, not of what manner he was conceived, or what specific authority he has. He is who he is, so people won't recognize him. A lot of folks are looking for somebody else entirely.

Ack, if the Messiah believed in the "settled doctrines" that ostensibly define him, he wouldn't even recognize himself. Everything is truly flipped upside-down out there. Pass the popcorn. :)
