How about Aztec religion/theocracy?
Religious belief includes ceremonies with human sacrifice and cannibalism.

Tolerance for Aztecs?

We better decide soon.

To my 64 year old knowledge, “Aztec” is something of an archaic Mexican, and therefore has no relevance, since you defined it as a ‘theocracy’.

Once a religion becomes a ‘theocracy’, it is a political entity, not a religion. Nazi-ism was a theocracy attempting to define itself as both a ‘warrior religion’ and a political system. That did not work too well, or else the world might not have bombed the German nation as it did.

There are folks who are reviving the ‘religio roma’, the ‘helenismos’ of Athens, the old ways of the Celts, as well. The Asatruans, if you watched History Channel’s ‘Vikings’, with the blessing of Freya for the growing season, did not use grape juice, either!
