The Presbyterian Church, U.S.A. is raising eyebrows after lifting up prayers to Allah at its General Assembly meeting last week.
"Allah bless us and bless our families and bless our Lord. Lead us on the straight path - the path of all prophets: Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad."
These were the words that rang out over the congregation at The General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church, USA meeting in Portland, Oregon. Wajidi Said, co-founder of the Muslim Education Trust, led the attendees in the prayer to the Islamic deity - a move arranged by the Ecumenical and Interfaith ministry staff at the assembly.
The prayer was part of the "first order of business" during the meeting's opening session, a time dedicated to praying for those affected by the Orlando shooting that occured just weeks before.
"In the name of Allah, the beneficent, the merciful, let us praise the Lord... Peace be upon them and peace be upon Allah," Said prayed. He also prayed peace on the "bigots" and "Islamaphobes."

Thanks, but you need to give this info to HiTech RedNeck.
I’m not the one claiming that Muslims stole the word “Allah” from the Bible. HiTech RedNeck is.
As a matter of fact, the adhan (which I used to rebut HiTech RedNeck’s claim) shows the very thing you’re talking about.
“Allah” is a proper name for the Muslim deity, while “illaha” is their word for “god”. Similar sounding, but not the same, just like I posted earlier.
You can leave today. Just do it.
Following God doesn’t involve the approval of corrupt leadership.
And you know, in Greek, Ο Θεος means "God" or "god", but His name is Ο ΩΝ.
You should understand that the distinctions in various Western languages between words beginning with a capital letter and those beginning with lower case letters is a relatively modern development. Finally, there are reportedly 99 names for God in Arabic.
Worship doesn't require a place, after all. If you tithed to God, it is His problem with the leadership to sort out.
But if you need a place...
Rent a place. Movie theater, former car dealership, school, etc.
What info? It is self congratulating cant. If you will not believe a practicing Christian of a rite that embraces Arabs, what will you believe?
If you need to buy a building either way, go elsewhere, wait for them to decide to sell. See what the market will bear. Make a very low offer.
The devil steals something that belonged to the Lord and then all these know-it-alls come along and say it always was the devil’s.
Whose team are they kicking for? It is self evident.
Didn’t make the claim, not doing your homework, sorry. I merely asked for a link.
Don’t confuse the issue either. I have essentially agreed with your second paragraph already. I’ll copypaste it below for reference.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The term is linguistically cognate to the Hebrew El which is also a term for deity. News flash: Islam wasnt even on the scene when Christianity came to Arabs speaking Arabic. Missionaries used the same term that Jewish Arabs were using in their Arabic translations.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Does your last sentence reference the word “Allah”? If not, then we are in complete agreement here, which I have already stated and you seem to have missed.
Yeah... let them be spiteful if they want, it will blow up in their faces. In the meantime, other churches can often make arrangements to share with new indies.
Is it up to me to prove what God made true from the start?
YOU are the one charged with the homework that God created you for. SORRY!
[[The Arabic word for God is Allah, no matter the context?
That being the case, why are two different (but similar sounding) words used for god/God in the Adhan?]]
No it is isnt Arabic , Aramaic and Hebrew are very similar
El in Hebrew , Eli in Aramic not allah , the word allah means CURSE
Matthew 27:45-46King James Version (KJV)
45 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.
46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

U gettin mad bruh
The term Allah most definitely was used. Now DISprove that. DISprove that it was stolen rather than “invented.” Hint: the devil invents nothing. He only perverts.
Why don’t you then stick to the Aramaic that Jesus used, then? Your “argument” works too well.
And there came upon the masses a great delusion...
Jesus won’t return until every last soul on earth chooses. What many are not seeing is it isn’t just “Christians” choosing Allah, even the atheist chooses Allah when he/she doesn’t choose to be against worldly evil, self-preservation, and the natural order. They choose to stand against Jesus and God, but they choose not to stand against that which would destroy them...Allah and Muhammed. It is a delusion on a Biblical scale.
What’s with Portland? It also held the UMC general conference last month. National headquarters for progressivized heretic “churches”?
[[When mad mo was inventing his false religion, the Arabs worshiped many gods. Mo picked out one god, Allah the moon god as the only god. In reality Allah is satan.]]
Interestingly enough all the early mosques did not point to Mecca , they pointed to the city of Petra where the Nabataeans who worshipped the moon god went to worship .
King Herod that ruled of Judea and gave the order to slay all the male babies in Bethlehem in order to try to kill Jesus was himself a Nabataean .
THAT I can understand.
How did Allah become separate from illah (or illaha)?
And I completely agree about the heretical faction of Presbyterians.
What’s my argument again?
Wow! Do these folks even read scripture?
OK Googled didn’t find anything you’re wrong sorry. :)
