But nothing is proven by mere assertion.
Are there any instances that the other disciples honored Mary over and above what they would do for any other woman? There is nothing.

And we are not to honor her(Mary), whom He honored?
No, we are not. Gods Commandment says we are to honor our own mother and father. Not somebody elses. Let's do what God commands, shall we?

Rev. 12 is about Gods Church. Johns revelations are all about future judgments and the future of the Church and the future of us all in general. IF this was about Mary, I don't think John would have forgotten her name already, he would have used it. The context shows it is figurative and about Gods Church.

Scripturally, there's more about Mary in the Old Testament than in the New, in terms of prophecies and types. Beyond the Gospels (where she said little, but the little she said was pure gold) and a single line in Acts which says that, with the others in the Upper Room, she received the Holy Spirit (again) at Pentecost--- there's basically just Revelation 12, "The Great Sign."

But we must recognize that while you coonfine yourself by the man-made rule "Sola Scriptura", I do not, because this rule itself is un-Biblical. My sources are the Old Testament, the New Testament, the inscriptions in the catacombs, the writings of the early Fathers, and the liturgical and devotional practices of the churches.
