And please stop referring to the Bible as “the Word.” In Christian usage, “the Word” is Christ — you know, as in “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God . . . And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us” etc., etc. You can’t justly take offense at being accused of bibliolatry if you equate the Bible with Christ.
