One question: is God sovereign, or is he not?

Those who practice evil are reprobate; God hates evil.

Matthew 10:16-23

16 “Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. 17 Beware of men, for they will deliver you over to courts and flog you in their synagogues, 18 and you will be dragged before governors and kings for my sake, to bear witness before them and the Gentiles. 19 When they deliver you over, do not be anxious how you are to speak or what you are to say, for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour. 20 For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you. 21 Brother will deliver brother over to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death, 22 and you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. 23 When they persecute you in one town, flee to the next, for truly, I say to you, you will not have gone through all the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.

Doesn't sound too "Healthy and Wealthy" to me...

And....later in vv 29-31:

29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny?[h] And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. 30 But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

So... Is God sovereign? I didn't say or claim that God is tempted or tempts anyone, and neither did I say or claim that God is the author of confusion, so put those straw men away.

Our suffering is in God's plan for us... If it isn't, then God is not sovereign AND he is a liar; do you want to stick by your claim?

“Doesn’t sound too “Healthy and Wealthy” to me... “

“Our suffering is in God’s plan for us...”

John 10:10 -

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

The suffering in the passages you posted was certainty in God’s foreknowledge, but it’s not his will or design for us. Satan is the cause of death and destruction.
