You have indeed sir. Carry on. I will be in the area all day. 😀😎😂😆
I thought you said you were done?
The convoluted rubbish and wresting of Scripture like the religious leaders of Jesus' day is coming from those who deny what ALL of Scripture says and not just their few favorite pet sentences they whip out to try to cover up how woefully inadequate their proof actually is - you for instance. You have nothing to answer Metmom's brilliantly posed questions so all you have left is that tired accusation of Pharisee-ism.
Why would Metmom "hate even the idea of seeing people getting healed and set free"? She is a prayer warrior for others and wholly trusts and waits on the Lord for His best. What you seem incapable of seeing is that sometimes it is NOT God's will to heal. That sometimes His will is that we learn to be content with what we have knowing he will never leave or forsake us rather than showering us with the riches of the world. I've seen God provide for me in miraculous ways but my faith would not have grown from it had I not had the need in the first place. Sometimes, He answered my prayer in a way that was totally 180 degrees from what I asked for but I saw the wisdom of that only afterward.
Rather than continue the false accusations and insults towards your brothers and sisters in Christ, why not sit back and try to understand what we have been trying to say? I think you'll find we share some common ground. Jesus will be glorified.
So going back to the Greek to get the true meaning of the verse is *convoluted rubbish*?
Wow! That says a lot about your view of God breathed, Holy Spirit inspired Scripture.
And you know my mind that you can claim that I hate to see people set free and healed? Are you mind reading now?
And of course, I certainly did notice the deafening silence to my previous post so I’ll post it again and you can talk to God about it. Or maybe you just missed it, but I’m skeptical.....
Here it is, post 235:

OK. I think Ive come upon a solution.
Since you all are so hyper spiritual and have such an in on the mind of God for His will for my life and the lives of everyone else, why dont YOU go and tell God all this.
Ive heard it all. Way too many times. I cant do anything more about this. My healing is in HIS hands. I cant control it. Seems that GOD needs to be reminded of it.
Its HIS job to heal. Not mine. So, if Hes not doing it, its not ME that you need to be ragging on about it. Rag on Him and tell Him how Hes been so deficient in the lives of so many believers across this country.
Go tell Him that Hes supposed to be healing me of immune system disorders. And my relatives who have kidney stones, osteoporosis, seizures, deafness, who are all believers. Remind Him that Hes supposed to be healing them and tell Him how Hes been slacking lately.
Oh, and dont forget to add my friends who are deep in debt in their business. Tell Him He needs to send them customers. And remind Him that He needs to prompt people to pay their bills that they owe them.
After all, if its His will to prosper us, then He needs to get moving on it.
************************************************************
So what about it? Are you going to remind God of what you’ve been hammering on me about? After all, He’s in charge of the healing department. I don’t recall Jesus EVER ONCE sending someone away sick and blaming them for not being healed. Perhaps you could provide an example of that.
Yes. Seems that way for all their doctrines.
Few verses and taken out of context and stretched in their meaning to fit the preconceived doctrine.
How DARE you claim to have thorns that GOD won’t remove!
(Can ya image what some of today’s Christians would be saying to Paul?)
When I die; I want to be in perfect health...
Come back home; where the medicine is better.
And CHEAPER; too!
But; unless you commute; you'll probably NOT be able to keep your present doctor...
I remember the story.
Seems like Job suffered from severe constipation.
His 'friends' had offered all kinds of solutions but none seemed to help.
Then Job discovered that by eating certain ferns; his problem was alleviated and eliminated.
When his buds came by again to 'comfort' him, he chased them away, wildly waving his ferns at them.
"Bah!", he exclaimed.
"With fronds like this; who needs enemas?"
"You run one time, you got yourself a set of chains.
You run twice you got yourself two sets.
You ain't gonna need no third set,
'cause you gonna get your mind right."
We're talking every believer here:
I think it's 'talking' about the collective group of believers; because it is quite obvious that not EVERY believer has these gifts'.
1 Corinthians 12 (NIV)
1 Now about the gifts of the Spirit, brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed. 2 You know that when you were pagans, somehow or other you were influenced and led astray to mute idols. 3 Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, Jesus be cursed, and no one can say, Jesus is Lord, except by the Holy Spirit.
4 There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. 5 There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6 There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.
7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 8 To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10 to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues,[a] and to still another the interpretation of tongues.[b] 11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.
12 Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. 13 For we were all baptized by[c] one Spirit so as to form one bodywhether Jews or Gentiles, slave or freeand we were all given the one Spirit to drink. 14 Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.
15 Now if the foot should say, Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body, it would not for that reason stop being part of the body. 16 And if the ear should say, Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body, it would not for that reason stop being part of the body. 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? 18 But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. 19 If they were all one part, where would the body be? 20 As it is, there are many parts, but one body.
21 The eye cannot say to the hand, I dont need you! And the head cannot say to the feet, I dont need you! 22 On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, 23 and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty, 24 while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the parts that lacked it, 25 so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. 26 If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.
27 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. 28 And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues. 29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? 30 Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues[d]? Do all interpret? 31 Now eagerly desire the greater gifts.
How about the above??
Psalms 119:71 (KJV)
It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.
Well; if a fella after GOD's own heart can't...
I see an Air Force civilian employee doctor every year, and the medication is free. Now, I will be seeing a Filipino doctor at the VA clinic in Manila. It's the only VA clinic outside the 50 states, and the medication is still free. 😀
"With fronds like this; who needs enemas?
Ewwwww. That's very bastos. A little Tagalog lingo there. 😀
You and your ilk profane the Martyrs with your false gospel. Try reading Foxx's Book of Martyrs and then tell us why those devout EARLY CHRISTIANS didn't get delivered by your false gospel. Was God too small then but you've grown Him enough to feed your carnality? You and your false gospel are demonic detritus ...
If you’re going to speak in tongues; someone MUST interpret.
Tagalog, bastos=nasty. 😇
When I die I WILL be in perfect health in a perfect body.
WHOOOO HOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
