This article is to those that might be going through a physical affliction and wondering if it is God's will for you to be healed. I just want to encourage you that it is God's will that you receive your healing. Let me make these points to help convince you of that because I want you convinced so that nobody can talk you out of it. First, In Matthew 15:26 Jesus said healing is the children's bread. What is bread, it is your right. Every child has a right to be fed. In fact, it a father's obligation to feed his children. And Jesus said it(healing) is the children's bread. Second, God the Father is the most loving father and in Luke 11:11-13 the point Jesus is making is that if you being evil know how to do good for your children how much more God. James 1:17 says, every good gift comes from God. And Act 10:38 says, God anointed Jesus with the Holy Ghost and power and with the Holy Ghost and power Jesus went about doing good healing all that were oppressed of the devil. So, healing is a good gift from God. I want to make this point because there are those that say these bodies are just dust and they don't matter to God. But, yet we see God anointing Jesus to heal these dust bodies and he did not turn anyone away. Now, what natural parent if they had a child out playing and the child fell and was bleeding badly tell them, "Now baby don't worry about it your body is just dust." NO, a good parent would pick that child up rush them in the house, nurse their wounds, put a bandage on them, dry there tears, and do everything in their ability to make it better. Well, how much more God. Third, Hebrews 1:3 says, Jesus is the express image of God and Jesus said he only did what he saw the Father do so everytime Jesus healed it was the Father's will and not one time did he turn anyone away. Not one time did he say, "God is using this to teach you something." Not one time did he say, "I'm sorry, but it's not God's will. You know all those religious ideas people come up with. Not one time did he say no and God does not change Malachi 3:6.
Fourth, God anointed Jesus to heal. Jesus told his disciples to heal. Jesus told believers to heal. So, healing must be one of God's top priorities. Fifth, Jesus was lashed and cut open for your healing Isaiah 53:4,5. He was beaten so badly he didn't even look like himself Isaiah 52:14. Now, how can anyone say that healing is not important to God. Sixth, God has an assignment for all of our lives and without these bodies we can't fulfill them. Seven, Some say that it's more important to be saved than healed. And I agree totally, but God provided for both 1Peter 2:24. If He provided it then He must wants us to have it. Eighth, Jesus said many are sick and sleep(dead) because they don't discern the Lord's body, that it was broken for your healing 1Corinthians 11:24,29,30. People recognize that what Jesus did brought salvation, but they don't realize that what he did brought healing so they don't receive it. Ninth, Everything about Jesus speaks of healing. The lamb in Exodus 12 is a picture of Jesus and notice as a result of eating the lamb everyone was healed Psalm 105:37 (make a note of that from point 8). In Numbers 16 the atonement Aaron made for the people represents what Jesus did for you and I. And in Numbers 21 that serpent on the pole represents Jesus on the cross taking our sins. Notice, in every case it brought HEALING. Tenth, In Acts 5 and 19 God used handkercheifs and even a man's shadow to heal people. Look at God. So, do not let people minimize God's desire for you to receive your healing. And do not let them trivialize what Jesus went through for you to be healed. So, if you are believing then keep believing. God Bless!!!!
Do you know what covenant and what were the particulars of that covenant which Paul refers to in Hebrews? HEBREWS? [hint: THE LETTER WAS TO THE HEBREWS] Do you imagine that because there is a new covenant that God’s covenants with The HEBREWS are void, that God is through with The HEBREWS? Ever heard of Daniel’s seventieth week?
So anyone who disagrees with YOU is a pharisee.
Yeah, right.
Are you now proud of your more spiritual than thou-ness?
Your argument, as those of the Pharisees, is with God and Scripture, not with me.
Stop pinging me, I could not possibly care less about anything you have to say on any topic.
So if it’s God’s will for me to be healed and He wants me healed, go ahead again and explain why I’m not. Or anyone 1else is for that matter. Or why babies are born with birth defects. Doesn’t God have control over the womb?
Explain how humans can thwart the sovereign will of God.
Or isn’t He so omnipotent after all?
Give us the verses where He PROMISES health and prosperity to all His children.
I guess that fella Paul wasn’t all that spiritual either. He was sick. Timothy was sick and Paul told him to take some wine for his stomach’s sake and his FREQUENT illnesses.
You can’t even show from the NT where everyone who asked was healed all the time.
Therefore you can’t promise us that either.
The prosperity gospel feeds the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. It puts God in a box that doesn’t allow Him to work things out how HE sees fit but demands that God perform as the believer sees fit.
That’s not God. That’s a puppet on a string.
Just checking to see if you’re okay and hangin’ around ...
It is what Paul called ‘another gospel’ ...
Dang, metmom, are you a robot? I’ve spent quite a bit of time with you on this and felt that the Lord was ministering to you. I hope so. Anyway, we’re done here.
“For those who think the kingdom is about physical, material comfort and prosperity.....
Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”
And Simon Peter would agree with this one example of what the righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit brings us:
John 21 -
“Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus.
He called out to them, Friends, havent you any fish?”
No, they answered.
He said, Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some. When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.”
Yes. Wonderful response. God bless.
Are you born again because Jesus told us that we must be born from above when he spoke to Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. Do you recite The LORD’s prayer? Are you aware that much of what Jesus spoke was to His disciples who would become the leaders of the Church? He was training them, knowing that the Church was to be given birth through them. What He spoke to them was also to us, as they are the leaders and examples given to the Church. They then taught the early believers all about what Jesus said and did. They spoke and also did miracles in His Name. You are wrong, but have been taught and accepted a prevailing false teaching concerning who Christ intended to gift with much of what He revealed. It was first to the Jew, but much of it was for us. All of it reveals who He is and why He is worthy of our love, worship and adoration. He is our Good Shepherd and we follow Him. It is He who we look to and and therefore live.
I agree that a part of Jesus ministry was dedicated to the Jews, but they obviously rejected Him and He realized it and His focus became onto those who would become the Church. Think about what He said to Peter about upon this rock I will build my Church when he gave his faithful profession about who Jesus is. It is important to parse out who Jesus is focusing on when He spoke. That is part of rightly divided The Word of God. But you cannot summarily reject what He said as not being for the Church. If you do, you miss out on HIM.
OK. I think I’ve come upon a solution.
Since you all are so hyper spiritual and have such an in on the mind of God for His will for my life and the lives of everyone else, why don’t YOU go and tell God all this.
I’ve heard it all. Way too many times. I can’t do anything more about this. My healing is in HIS hands. I can’t control it. Seems that GOD needs to be reminded of it.
It’s HIS job to heal. Not mine. So, if He’s not doing it, it’s not ME that you need to be ragging on about it. Rag on Him and tell Him how He’s been so deficient in the lives of so many believers across this country.
Go tell Him that He’s supposed to be healing me of immune system disorders. And my relatives who have kidney stones, osteoporosis, seizures, deafness, who are all believers. Remind Him that He’s supposed to be healing them and tell Him how He’s been slacking lately.
Oh, and don’t forget to add my friends who are deep in debt in their business. Tell Him He needs to send them customers. And remind Him that He needs to prompt people to pay their bills that they owe them.
After all, if it’s His will to prosper us, then He needs to get moving on it.
I didn’t think you could or would answer that.
It’s the typical response of someone who does not haven an answer because of their bad theology.
I didn’t.
After all, I’m not the one cramming God into a box on how He should act and what He’s supposed to be doing.
I don’t claim to have Him all figured out.
I have some things I would like to be healed from. I haven't been healed. I wonder why? Maybe I don't have enough faith. 😃
Maybe you have sin in your life you reprobate.
Of you’re just not spiritual enough.
Or you have generational curses. Someone generations back did something that you need to repent of for them for.
Get to work you sluggard. Figure it out yourself......
Sheesh. What do you want? A hand out?
roll eyes.....
Job had friends like that ;-)
