From reading about other instances of visible Eucharistic miracles: it seems plausible that God enacts them in order to heal blindness.
Not regular blindness, but rather that specific kind of blindness that does not recognize the Real Presence.
For instance: the miracles sometimes involve people who’ve stolen the Host for some bad purpose (as if there could be a good one) or priests who have come close to losing their awareness of the sacrament.

I am a believer and would prefer death over denial of my faith in Jesus Christ, as revealed through the holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit in the Bible. I have witnessed a variety of miracles and have heard of many others. But I am just not into talismans and paranormalities, into which category many of the apparitions Catholics venerate, it appears to me, would fall.
