God hears the cry of the poor and Mother Mary taught us of a great reversal that is coming, when the mighty and powerful will be cast down and poor and lowly raised up (Lk 1:52).

In 1:52 the word poor is not in the Greek.

What the Msgr. has done is eisegesis which is reading something into the text that is not there vs exegesis which is bringing out of the text what is there.
