Senator Ted Cruz has often stated that Jesus Christ is central to his life. He talks about how his father had left his family but returned after receiving the gospel, how his mother turned to Christ, and how this changed his life:
I was raised in the church. When I was eight years old [I] gave [my life] to Jesus. [To] know that I am redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, nothing is more important to me. I am a new creature in Christ, and it [is] central to who I am today.
I couldnt run for president without relying heavily on my faith . From the day we launched the campaign, Heidi and I have prayed simply that his will would be done. Each day, we try not to seek his hand (asking for help winning the race), but rather to seek his face (praying that his love and glory would be seen every day in the campaign).
Cruzs unashamed affirmation of Christ resonates deeply with many Christians. But it has also created concern among many Christians and non-Christians alike. In this article, wed like to clarify what we believe are misrepresentations of Cruzs faith and its relationship to his politics....

Could you please watch and reply to the videos I posted in #16 and reconcile them with a man that says he gave his heart to Christ at 8 years old (and a man who along with his wife earned over $5 million dollars and didn’t give one cent to church ‘because they were concerned about their financial security’???? Please take the blinders off about this guy!
ToastTED doesn’t give tithes.
He’s destined to TAKE them dont you know.
The actual New Testament says to give as purposed in one’s heart (besides it is lousy theology to call any system of Christian giving equivalent to the unique tithe system which would be something more like a Christmas club savings account used to throw an extravagant annual party).
Has Ted given to others by some different system? Maybe we’d never see it, depending on how literally he takes the dictum of Jesus to keep it private. It might not even show up on his taxes.
And I don’t even think he’s living up to his faith very well in public right now, but I’m not going to jump for accusations for which there is really no solid proof.
ROTFL.
Our entire herd of cows died, so we won’t need Cruz’s bull anymore.
Or any of your lefty ‘arguments’:
1. “You’re a racist!”
2. “You’re stupid!”
3. “You’re a hater!”
Face it. Your boy is a hound in a cassock.
It’s not unusual for servants of God to be slandered, falsely accused, and lied about. Take notice of what they did to Jesus!
Strange mud for his turtle ...
He’s not a dominionist. But he IS from the Dominion of Canada.
CC
... sounds like warmed over socialism at best.
Ted and the old man are not american or christian for that matter.
I would aver that talk like this is jumping the gun on the return of Christ. Christians currently enjoy something that is more like a spoils system than an absolute dominion. Jesus’ grace is enough for us and it can cause even the world to bless us. I’ve seen benefit to myself in this vein. But we don’t inherit this mortal coil as a whole. We wouldn’t even want it. All I’d hope I want worldly treasure for, is to use it to procure means of sharing the gospel.
Stop! in the name of Teb!
Cuz his Daddy said.
Ted at least is probably Christian. But with lousy theology.
That is true but in this interview he could have cleared it all up but all he did was admit that it was true, that he didn't.
From Youtube: Sen. Ted Cruz Tithing
Did you watch the video in post 3? I respect your opinion and if you discount it, that’s cool, but it sure seemed pretty creepy to me. Especially coming from someone who participated in Castro’s revolution.
The louder he talked of his honor, the faster we counted our spoons.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
I hate to say it, but the fact Ted didn’t tithe doesn’t tell us SQUAT about his other giving.
He ought to have been asked about his other giving at which point he could have said Jesus told him to keep it confidential. A lapse on the part of the questioner does not equal a fault on Ted’s part.
And here I am basically leaning to Trump, who seems to be sincere about trying to restore America, but unfair is unfair.
Cruz... we are saved, not by deeds, but by redemption.
What a perfect cop out
