The Michigan Catholic Conference has announced that it will provide health-care coverage to "legally domiciled adults" living with their employees.
The new policy, which the conference said was designed to comply with federal non-discrimination standards, will provide benefits to persons who have lived with an employee for at least six months and share financial arrangements. The policy will cover married or unmarried partners, including same-sex partners.
Another queer policy!
So two widowed brothers, sisters, cousins, etc. could declare themselves domestic partners, move in together and they’d be eligible for the benefits? Or is it only for queers?
I suspect it’s only for the perverts.
If I lived in Michigan, I would stop all contributions to my Catholic parish and to my diocesan Bishop after I sent both a letter advising of my actions.
It is time for practicing Catholics to stand up and speak out against pastors and Bishops who are not faithful to Church teachings. The same goes for Pope Francis. I have stopped contributing to the Pope’s annual Peter’s Pence collection.
Money talks. When Catholics turn off the money spigot, we will begin to hear the pigs squeal.
You are so right. I stopped giving to my Archdiocese quite a few years ago, once I learned that they were helping illegals.
